The View from the Home End

I really thought there would be much more chat about this game, but apparently not!  Looking at these comments its clear they have a thing for spanking in South Wales, but I am going to leave that well alone. I’m expecting a much different game from the boys tomorrow, but I refuse to be confident, that always ends in tears.  I expect the team are desperate to get back to Manchester by now, so let’s put the game to bed early if possible.

COME ON CITY !!!

Referee: Neil Swarbrick
Assistants: S Ledger, D Eaton
Fourth official: A Woolmer

Team Selection

Fabianski
Naughton Van Der Hoorn/Mawson Amat Kingsley
Britton
Barrow Sigudsson Montero
Baston Llorente

And the rest…

Saturday will be incredibly difficult for us and a drubbing should be unexpected. This isn’t the MC of last year this really is a very special team far better than anything I’ve seen (admittedly only on TV) for many years. That said last night equalled their worst result of the season! Does FG go attacking and risk being taken apart or be ultra defensive and risk more booing from the stands. If there was one team not to be playing this weekend it is an inform MC…But stranger things have happened…A few of my choices played a full game last night so I’m not sure if they would be able to do that again on Saturday or if it is wise given Guardiola will have picked out weaknesses…Much depends on who’s fit – reports are there may be a stomach bug doing the rounds and who knows how long Montero will be unavailable? A real guessing game.
It was quite obvious that taylor isn’t up to the challenge, Nordfeldt could do with playing in the under 23s for a while to sharpen his game play as does Baston.

It would be criminal if he lost his job for not beating Man City, currently THE outstanding team in Europe…Not sure we can play Barrow and Montero from the off – for me they are both still impact players.

Whatever the team is we need either Barrow or if fit Montero to be kept as impact player later in the game for their pace to beat their defenders

Look at Wednesday night for example. With a more adventurous lineup we could have beaten them. With Montero & Barrow closing down their goalkeeper we would be rolling in the goals. We would be leaving ourselves exposed at the back yes but look at the job Leon can do sitting in front of that back 4. We need some positivity and adventure in our play. Ask yourself how boring are we to watch? I would rather lose 5-4 and get some entertainment than lose 1-0. We can even take Llorente out and put an extra man in midfield. We just have to put Montero on at the same time. Having only 1 leaves them isolated as the opposition only have the 1 to deal with and can easily double up on them.

Oh what the heck 2-1 to the Swans – if I say it enough times it may happen

Come on the real City

Ten men in the box and hooooof it

Whoever plays we will get spanked…………Oh how i wish for the old days where we had a chance of winning…..Another loss as a banker……

I fully expect Citeh to turn up the heat and spank us 0-3…Sack the board!

Will Guido park the bus, the lorry, the tractor and the chip van across our goalmouth?

Just go for it Guido your boring us to death

i am not very confident with this game but man city have to lose sometime just dont think it will be tomorrow. leon britton has to play tomorrow and would like to see mawson given a chance if we have any chance of getting a draw or win tomorrow
