The View from The Away End

Not brilliant comments this week, but you will get the general gist of it, and certainly more than last week. Time to go back to the Etihad, full of confidence, and get three points. Nothing else will do…

COME ON CITY!!!

Team Selection

Foster

Dawson            McAuley         Evans             Chester

Sandro         Yacob

Gamboa                     Pritchard                     McClean

Anichebe

Referee: Mike Jones

And the rest…

I reckon we could get a point here or even nick it. Call me crazy, but with 40 points in the bank the pressure may be off a bit especially when no one expects us to win

Spanking due, 4-0 City

yeah I’ll be there, was confident of getting something from this game before they tore Bournemouth a new one! Expecting a resilient defensive performance though…Hoping we are a bit more attack minded a la Chelsea away

0-1 us. Just have a slight feeling it may be one of those days….

City may have their minds on the PSG 2nd leg. But we never seem to play well at the Etihad (unlike say White Hart Lane where we often play well). Suspect a park the bus 2.0 defeat.

Think we’ve only sold about 900 tickets. Not a great deal, understandable given the £42 ticket, but train is fairly cheap

Heard Man City fans going to have some kind of Demonstration about the prices.

The longer we can hold them the better, still 3-0 Citeh though

man c 1 – baggies 2…Tone tends to let them off the leash against “better” sides IMO…perverse as it may seem, maybe its a case of,   “We need to not lose against these (lesser sides) so you will play like this”…, whereas,    “We aren’t expecting to get anything against these (better clubs) so just go and give it a go boys”….Total speculation on my behalf, of course.

City look in good form, can only see a 3-0 win for them here, but lets hope otherwise.

Well following on from their good result in Paris last night, I’m hoping Man City look at this as just a mundane routine fixture and take their foot off the proverbial pedal allowing us to provide the shock result of the day and turn them over (well, I can dream!!).

Very good chance come Saturday 17:00 we’ll be looking at a second game in a row with no shots on target. The eighth time this season.

That’s near enough 1/4 of our league games we’ve failed to register a shot that’s troubled the opposition GK.

Their last victory away at City was at Maine Road in 2003 – Darren Moore scored the winner that day.

2.0. Not a ground we seem to play well at. Probably City’s mind will be elsewhere. Just be nice to try and give them a game (like we did Leicester and Chelsea) and not stick 10 behind the ball and hope for 0.0.

Probably City are one of the few teams who if you sit back and defend you are almost certainly going to lose . Too much quality going forward not to score if the game is played almost entirely in our half.

For the first time this season I think we are going to be torn a new one!…4-0 twatting.

City haven’t won two consecutive league games in a long long time now. They just trounced Bournemouth so they will break the run by twatting us…5-1 City.

All set up for a win here. City in between CL ties. Man Utd and West Ham likely to lose this weekend so pressure on 4th spot is lowered. We’ve had a run of poor quality games…0-1 Set piece goal
