The view from the away end

Palace-vs-Man-City

I am going to be honest, I sort of gave up on the away fans this week. There are pages and pages of predictions for this game, but they all say the same thing.  When you read these few comments, you will get the idea.

Now…COME ON CITY!!!

Team Selection

Hennessey
Ward Dann Delaney Souare
Cabaye McArthur
Zaha Chamakh Sako
Wickham

Referee: Jonathan Moss (4th Official: Mr M Clattenburg)

My favourite (it’s just weird)

Last time we attacked them and mucked them about for 75 minutes, then everyone dropped their shorts in unison and let Man City penetrate them. Then we went to Spurs and pulled our shorts down right from the start. I hope we don’t deploy these tactics again. Attack them and keep your shorts on.

And the rest…

I really have no hope for this…City 3 – 0 Palace

City 6-0 Palace

We are massive underdogs so it’ll be a gritty backs to the wall display but ultimately unsuccessful

8 – 1

All over by half time.

Don’t get all these massive scores against us – we have one of the best defences in the league – only Spurs have conceded fewer goals

I’ve no idea what this amazing away form is that everyone keeps prattling on about; the six last away matches for me we’ve picked up one draw and five defeats…The good news is I won’t be there on Saturday, so we’re destined to ******* win again.

I dread to think what we’ll put out vs City. They will pass us off the park. I think we need Cabaye further back to try break up the play along side Jedi. As for the rest the back 4 is picking itself at the moment. As for wingers and striker we have Wilf then it’s a wild card for the rest.

Jedinak is too slow against top passing sides

He will get rings round him by silva. He is far too slow. That showed against Chelsea.. He looked a headless chicken. Best midfield pairing of Cabaye and MacArthur

Anyone calling for Cabaye to be played further forward after today should automatically have their account suspended.

The fact that people actually think Jedinak would actually stop Silva, Toure & De Bruyne ..He wouldn’t get near them.

Manchester-City-v-Crystal-Palace

A mistake to mention Jedinak by the way. There’s a small group with an almost unhealthily obsessive complex about him. Naturally they’ve all already posted within about 3 minutes of each other. To be fair, on principle against teams like City I wouldn’t start the big guy unless he’s being played as an anchor, but even pushing higher into the midfield he certainly offered a lot more positivity than Ledley or JMac when he came on tonight. I don’t care who they give us Saturday so much as I think there’s plenty of quality to choose from, as long as they show a bit more passion than we just witnessed.

I am afraid I fear a tonking in this one, esp given their 0-0 home draw on wendesday

If we play the same way against City than we did against Villa it could be double figures.

Biggest defeat since promotion? I guess it depends on which Palace turns up.

I reckon we’ll play well but its Man City and they’re looking like being back to form. I wouldn’t expect to win, but I think we might stand a good chance of a point or three if we can make it to half time 0-0

Delaney injured. This could be a brutal thumping.

4-0 to City. Sorry but the depth of their attack is vastly more talented and will be all over us. Busy afternoon for Hennessey.
