Apparently we are the underdogs on this weeks Monday Night Football, and I quite like it. It seems to me that every time we go into a game expecting a cricket score (this season), it turns out to be a disaster. All I ask is that we play to win, and play like we know we can. If that happens, I will be happy. I will be popping down to The Emirates after work tomorrow night, and I want an early Christmas present.

If we had Coquelin I’d say I’m quite confident will win. But Flamini hasn’t satisfied me defensively the past three games and I fear Aguero/Silva will pounce hard if Flamini doesn’t do his best Coq impression…City vs Arsenal games have been fun for the past few years – guaranteed goals. If they don’t start Aguero I think we have a good shot at winning.
Should we play a patient and calculated game like home Vs Bayern? Probably a sound counter attacking game…I think so because it will play to our strengths…Walcott, Ramsey, Özil and Giroud can be devastating on the counter.
In a league where no-one seems to want the title and all squads are flawed, not to mention the managers, a four point gap almost halfway in would be very significant. Massive, massive game. Biggest event for the club since losing Lord Bendtner imo
We should be winning this one, they’ve been dominated by Liverpool and Stoke and not looking great recently. Allot depends on if Arguero, Kompany and Alexis are back. Alexis is expected back. I think their 2 lads will struggle if they’re back or not though as they’ve had worse injuries
Luckily City are horrific at the moment and they have a lot of injuries, so there’s that.
Still annoyed they didn’t drop points against Swansea. Need a win here, their defence without Kompany has been dreadful, and we’re on a good run, even if we’re not playing that well.
City are vulnerable like **** – we take it to them on our home patch. Yes, it has to be a balanced approach but of course we go at them. We can utilise BOTH options depending on what the game requires…You think Sterling & De Bruyne want to track back & defend?

We’ll keep things tight and City will have most of the possession but will be toothless with Bony up front. Not worried about Flamini as long as we stay compact and he doesn’t have to cover lots of ground…We’ll win because City don’t have the goals in them and we’ll be trouble on the counter.
Of all the big games, I always fancy us against City. They only play one way under Pellegrini, which suits us down to the ground. The big news is Kompany will still be missing, which means they’ll give up chances, chances we have to take.
Luckily, we have shown that we have been able to adapt our game against them in recent years. We must definitely look to that for this game.
Must win game…I would write any title challenge off if this game is lost.

Sorta got lucky that this is on monday because it gives Sanchez more time to get sharp.
Hopefully Kompany is out for this one. Without him, their defence can be anything from average to absolutely shocking. The negatives are that Silva/De Bruyne/Sterling against Flamini/Bellerin worry me a little bit…That said, I’m quietly optimistic. The players need to show up with intensity and fight (something that City don’t have a lot of) and if we do that.. and be ruthless when taking our chances like we were against United – then we can win this no worries.

City are as bad at this moment as they’re going to be this season. We have to take advantage of that if we’re thinking about the title, especially at home.

Doubt City will risk Aguero, every time they do he has a setback. Gotta learn from your mistakes sometime, eh…What a waste of money Bony has been, quite ironic how he looks much worse than Dzeko, and even he is not exactly doing wonders at Roma.

I honestly am not worried about their strikers. We have enough pace and tactical nous to deal with em, in cech and co. This is a midfield game in my view. We need a 10/10 from both Ramsey and Flamini……
City have been god awful these last 3 weeks, it’ll be agueros first game after over 4weeks out. If we can’t beat that at home…well…there’s no point is there?

If city play at their current level and not like they did in the first 3 games of the season,if we put out a good performance we should at least edge the encounter and take three points…It is crucial we take advantage now when we have it in terms of functioning as a team and firing,wenger said in his press conference that he will look to nullify their individual quality,hope he goes for that,it would be the key for our victory
