I am a little bit disappointed by the comments from scouse 2 land this week. I expected more crazy. Still, it’s not a bad selection, and I hope it gives you a flavour of what the away fans are thinking. It feels like a long time since we had a game, and I cant wait.

Nah not convinced at all. Suffering a bad defeat before the city game is not as negative as a lot will think. Jurgen will have 2 weeks to work on what went wrong. We had won 3 games in 8 days previously and confidence is getting a lot better. 1 defeat isn’t going to diminish the belief the boss and there is no one better to pick a team up after defeat. The pressure will be all on city after their draw away to Villa, that will be seen as a major set back to them. We also suffered a major set back but we have a lot less to prove than them and in their own ground the pressure will be on. If we can frustrate them early doors Genuinely think we can nick it. Their 2 best players will be doubtful/out of the game too. We may have injury problems but we don’t have 2 world class players to lose in Silva and Aguero. They created 1 or 2 chances all game against villa. Have some belief

I think he’ll play similar to the Spurs game 4-3-2-1 and press them very aggressively lowering them to our level of play

City with Silva are a different animal to without, they look far more effective goin forward which is concerning. If both him and Aguero are back in the starting lineup I can’t see past City tbh, taking into account our injury problems also. The only hope would be that they weren’t fully fit. We have a chance if Silva doesn’t make it tho imo

I think if kloppy won’t commit the same mistake Brendan made last season on that turf, which was leaving the backline exposed without any shield afforded by our holding midfield, and the further flaw of attacking City stretching our XI all over the pitch upon letting exposed our entire half of the field to City cuts and through balls from behind for Aguero, we are certainly gonna play a tight game with some chances to bag a good result home, after all, tactically wise, Jurgen klopp is not Brendan Rodgers for sure! isn’t he?
City may have Silva/Aguero back and there’s a chance Sturridge/Henderson might be on the bench?Benteke will give Kompany and co plenty to think about the result certainly isn’t a foregone conclusion.We’ve been better away than at home so if we can cut out the mistakes and take are chances it could be a good day at the Etihad…..Bring it on.
Our tactics under Klopp suit the away games perfectly. However I just don’t think we have the quality to win the game. In the future we may have the solidity and clinicalness in order to beat them. But I think it’s too soon, unless they play badly. I’d take a draw, but would love a win obviously
City’s one of the teams we seem to do well against, expect maybe a point to be honest if Aguero and Silva are still out, City shown they can’t deal with Coutinho in between the lines in the past and I think added with Firmino we’ll get a lot of joy in the gaps between Toure/Fernandinho and the cbs, expect it to be a relatively open game, fingers crossed we take our chances because we will create them.

I actually hope the fans dont boo Sterling or give him any sort of abuse. Simply because he’s irrelevant to us, he wasnt here long enough with us to achieve anything to make him even remotely interesting so therefore just refuse to acknowledge him and treat him like any other City player.

Jeebus, the thought of Aguero running at pace or in behind our central defense who are slower than the Titanic frightens me. ..We’ll win 2-1. Milner to score our first penalty of the season.
Imo the likes of Kompany and Otamendi would always prefer to play against the likes of Benteke than Sturridge or Firmino. This will be a much different challenge to Chelsea and these two front foot City defenders will see Benteke as an opportunity to squeeze us as they won`t be fearing him hurting them in behind with his pace. For me if you want to compete with City you gotta do it with mobility, pressing and good numbers in midfield when you have the ball.
Positive noises about Sturridge but I doubt we’ll start him, probably come on from the bench, dependant on how the game is going

I am still surprised at the fact that the Man City Owners did not buy Liverpool. Liverpool is a better brand. We would have a new stadium by now and won the league. Instead we got the useless cowboys and now FSG misers. We are at best an average team that has sold its best players and bought average players. The league position does not lie.
