The view from the Away End

OK, I have to admit from the start that I have been to the pub, in an effort to enjoy my weekend before the game.  To be fair, there are not that many comments from the away fans, but I hope you can enjoy what little there is:

Now…..COME ON CITY !!!

Up until yesterday’s results I would have called this a dead rubber and suggested an ideal chance to rest the crocked players, including Foster. Now I’m not so sure, they seem to be unravelling and play their second leg CL match on Wednesday I believe. Might be at least one more point up for grabs?

Whereas I’m not expecting much points wise from this game, I hope we give a better account of ourselves than at the Hawthorns when we rolled over to have our belly tickled by a side, albeit a decent one, having no fit strikers. I think that day we were in awe of them, cant see TP allowing that to happen!

I think their mid week game against Barcelona will have a bearing on the outcome of our game with them. Realistically, the Champions League is probably their only chance of winning silverware this season and I think they will field their strongest team against Barca.
It remains to been seen, if that is the case, whether our first choice players can thwart their second string.

cannot see us setting up for anything other than 0-0

They’ve dropped points against Burnley and Hull at home and lost to Stoke so the Etihad has not been much of a fortress for them this season. If they are at their best it will obviously be tough but no reason we have to write it off and all the pressure will be on them.

The Man City players have effectively downed tools on Pellegrini. So don’t expect them to be sprinting around if they lose to Barca tonight

**** these lot. ..These are beatable.

If we play like Barcalona we’ve half a chance!! tbf Joe Hart had a fantastic game tonight v Barca so he’s due a clanger Saturday

We can beat the mancs, they are so bad,
They made that Neymar, Messi, Suarez and company look half decent, they must be 5hit !

Looking forward to this (well, more than in recent seasons anyway) they are vulnerable at the moment and may not have the energy or the desire to shift the Pulis bus after tonight’s CL elimination! We should go there with confidence, really hope we manage to get something out of it, unlike in recent times when it has usually all been over by half time!

Will go one of two ways.

They will either turn up and literally smash us and take there anger out on us.

OR

If we can start brightly and get the fans on their back, we could well get something from the game. They wont be in the best of places, and with the elimation firmly on their minds, if they dont start well it could be hostile place. Also, if we pick up points, we may have to add another sacked managers name to our list.

Last year I believe Pulis went there with Palace and lost 1-0 in the final minute (Dzeko I think?) So it gives us hope that we can be competitive and frustrate

Pellegrini’s BBC interview rambling about the Champion’s league, Chelsea, loves his job etc.  Doesn’t have the elementary courtesy to mention us, not even a patronising “we must respect WBA on saturday”. Two fingers up to them, I don’t care if Pulis plays 5 CBs and we shamelessly kick the proverbial out of Aguerro if it means we get a 0-0.

3-0….I fear they will bounce back after the Barca game and we will feel the force
