The View from the Away End

I have no idea what to expect tomorrow, either from Pep (as always) or the team. I have made peace with not being in the ground for Sergio’s last competitive game at the Etihad. I can’t wait for the testimonial in front of a full house, when we will have a proper send off for Sergio and get to see Merlin again.  My overall thoughts about this game are neatly summed up in this comment:

“City will definitely not want to go into the CL final on the back of 2 defeats.
I’d be very surprised if we got anything unless we are physical, City don’t want to risk injuries and settle for a point.”

COME ON CITY!!!

And the rest…

We’re all going on a European tour.

We’ll get snotted and finish 10th

Been honest i can only see city winning with having their fans back, been presented with the title, and basically wanting to win in front of the fans no matter what team they put out, we need to go for it, but have the feeling we will sit back a lot of it hoping to not concede instead of trying to score, but like all will be hoping for the win.

Away to a super six side. Getting fed up winning these types of games. But maybe one more to get europa Ev…Destroy the plotters.

This game will be fascinating.

so to finish in a european position we need to do the following:
Better Spurs’ result
Match Arsenal’s result.

We basically have to fluke a win at Citeh! Hope Liecester do Spurs (which they may or they get Europa.) and then the Arsenal don’t matter. so build the blue wall to stop them scoring and hope James or Richy pull something special out of the bag.

Pack the team with fighters and go for the 0-1 win. Surely Man C are quality even when they rotate. But they will not go all out with the CL final to come.

We’ve had some impressive wins against big and/or bogey teams this season. I fear this won’t be one of them. But it’s been a nutso 20/21 so hey, maybe we’ll see another Carlo Special 0 – 1 win.

We needed the Brighton defeat not to have happened in Cities last game.

6-1 …then they can stand around applauding the Man City players as they lift the trophy. A thing none of these feckless tossers will ever see (Godfrey aside when he moves onto better things)…Then they can all get on their insta accounts and have a great summer spending their millions they’ve earned from being bang average footballers.

Man City will be fairly focused for the CL final, but will probably want to win in front of a full stadium for them again after so long…Pep’s rotation policy is strange at the best of times, he could go fairly strong just as easily as he could play a youth team and Carson in goal again…Citeh 6-5 Everton.

Why’s everyone worried. We’ve been to lots of places this season and won.

Free hit for us this. None of their lot will want to give 100% with the final on the horizon. Get into them early, show them we’re up for it in the 50/50s and watch them back off. Work-rate will have to be high otherwise these will just keep the ball.

We’d need a penalty or sending off or something to give us some chance, but it seems Brighton already had that luck…I’m not expecting anything, but I have a feeling that during the afternoon, things will change and look like at one point we’ll finish 7th, only to be disappointed by the end.

City will definitely not want to go into the CL final on the back of 2 defeats.

Throw a couple of million to city on the sly to play a fans team (their u18s might give us a game so too risky) or perhaps agree to write off any John Stones bonus payments that might be left from them winning CL or something.

Nailed on City will beat us to go out with a win before collecting the silverware.

At least this awful season will be over soon.

City will have their 2nd team out with the CL final 6 days later… Great chance to beat them.

As ever, City’s 2nd team even if they did play it which i doubt is still very good-they will want to win infront of their fans for one, plus we have to attack which most games we seem incapable of at times, i like many want the win

Carlo will know how to get a result here.

Leathered 4 nil and finish 10th.

We simply have to put absolutely everything into Sunday and hope a couple of other results go our way.

City will play only those unlikely to play in the final so they will try hard to beat us thus 3-0.

Bumming incoming.

Their reserves would put 4 past us with ease. That said as long as we have a shot im not losing faith in us making it to europe.

Think 4-2 city

the possibility of European football, however remote, dooms this game to a big loss. It would have been better if all chance of Europe had been expunged since then our brave lionhearts could play with zero performance pressure. As it is, they will bottle this awfully…4-0 to City

I never felt more like singing the blues

Don’t think we have the testicles to win this one.

Can’t actually believe we are gonna finish 10th. Unreal. In a season where we have won more than half of our away games. Insane.
