Back to business as usual this week and a pretty pessimistic outlook it is as well (from the away fans).  I found loads of score predictions, but very few comments, so I hope this gives you an idea of what is going through the minds of the away fans.

Now…COME ON CITY !!!

Team Selection

Hennessey
Kelly Dann Hangeland Ward
Jedinek Ledley
McArthur
Puncheon Zaha
Bolasie

My Favourite

Ref from Stoke in charge not a million miles away from Manchester…I bet he gives them every decision.

And the rest…

Ohhhh Lord help us, Dowd and Clattenberg are the worst referees i have ever seen officiate our games.

I predict a proper tanking from Citeh with the aid of this cock on Saturday….

We will go there and try and make it difficult as possible for them but in the end Man C will prevail.

Think we will get a point at City next weekend.0-0 Half time and 1-1 Full time.Zaha scoring

If I’m being honest…I can see citeh pulling us apart, they’ve got some swagger at the minute.I would quite happy take out close 1-0 loss like last season in a heartbeat. Can’t see bolaise getting any change from zabaleta…tho Jedi Vrs yaya toure should be interesting.

Would say their young lad Pozo will score his first man city goal against us

Don’t forget they have Lampard who is still scoring goals for fun from midfield.

Striker crisis …pack out the midfield there going nowhere we’ll win
0-1

we did alright there last season. The longer we keep them at bay, the less likely we will get a pounding from then. we really need to keep it tight and defend as a team. Hold them off for as long as possible.

If we play like we did last season at the Etihad, we’ll get a point.

Although I have worries about what may happen v City we must all agree the Palace defence is no walk-over. I can’t really see a surprise result, but I wouldn’t be surprised at one! Clear?

Indeed, make it to half time at 0-0 or 1-0 and we’re in with a chance. Football throws up weird results all the time, and all you need is for a bit of luck, a touch of genius or the red mist to completely change the odds. One bad/rash tackle, and its 1-0 Palace, 11 vs 10 men for the rest of the game. Although given our luck with refs it’ll have to be a howling obvious rash tackle in the box.

Oddly, I’m not in the slightest bit worried. Half because we are not expected to get anything, and half because I’m quietly confident….ish. Totally contradictory but I don’t think I’d be surprised either way

I know people keep referring to this, but we have only conceded 5 in the last 6 games. We’ve definitely looked more organised recently and although we haven’t taken the chances I think we’ve actually looked more dangerous too. Toure is capable on his day of beating us on his own, but if he doesn’t play to his best then we have a small chance.Despite my previous comment i agree with you, we have looked better in defence. Except we have the tendancy to swicth off for a couple of seconds in a game (stoke & Villa) or start a bit slow (Liverpool) If we do this against opposition like city, even with key injuries, they could ruin us. But, if we hold tight and can get to the break at 0-0 then we theres no reason we couldnt perform a smash and grab result! Like a previous poster said , the pressures all on them to win, they need to catch Chelsea, and somehow, Utd are breathing down there neck, all this could very much work in our favour, the longer we hold out the more nervous they will get!

Yaya beat us all by himself at Selhurst last season.

I feel like we’re really overdue a shock result. Last season, we got 4 points out of 30 from Chelsea, Arsenal, United, City and Liverpool and the only times we definitely didn’t deserve anything were City (H), Arsenal and Liverpool . This year (excluding Liverpool because they are nowhere near the quality of the top 4 at the moment) we’ve got nothing from 3 games and in all of them had a serious chance at some point. We always get very close and just can’t quite get over the line. Will not get a better chance to get something at City.

Man City 0 – 1 Crystal Palace (Johnson 90+3)

Be great to see Mariappa combining with Punch again. More importantly, our top defensive record last year featured said fullback and Delaney so both are no brainer starters if fit. Obviously we dont want to shout about it but with City’s missing forwards and CB this is now no harder to win than Everton away was. Not easy but not the writeoff it would have been. By quite some way actually. Looking after Toure effectively gonna be key.

Nothing from this and could make tough watching, City 3 -0

Cited have their early morning and Xmas heads on.

An unlikely 1-0 win for the eagles.

Palace score early in the second half and then cling on for a historic victory.

Merry Christmas ;)
