Hola chicos y chicas

Apologies to all Spanish speaking members, you can blame Google Translate for any errors!

As you know I don’t usually do this for the European games, but I found these comments and I wanted to add to the pre game anticipation.

I was fairly surprised to find that the thread was started on 15th December, so it’s interesting to see comments based on our (lack of) performance in January and the last couple of games.

It’s not surprising that there is a lot of talk around our European record, but I am shocked by the total lack of respect for the current EPL Champions. On the plus side they seem to have very little confidence in their manager, and think the game will be decided by their star players turning up.  The reference to ‘Superhuman Joe Hart’ made me smile.

Anyway, make up your own minds, and

COME ON CITY!!!!

Team Selection

Stegen

Alves Pique Masche Alba

Busquets

Rakitic Iniesta

Messi Suarez Neymar

My favourite

Classic, we get City and Real get Schalke

And the rest…

City is Barca’s new Arsenal.

We’ll destroy them like last year.

I don’t think we will destroy anything he but we should win. I’d be mad at enrique if we can’t beat that lot

I’ll be calling for Lucho’s head if we can’t manage to beat the likes of City. Here it goes…

I don’t think we’ll beat City this season. The team is worse than last year’s, and I think Pelegrini is a better manager. Only if Messi and Neymar turn up their games. Meanwhile, rm always getting easy draws. so lucky

Our team is way better than City, but our manager sucks. It’s hard to predict what the result will be this year

when-aguero-met-messi

If we have a hard time beating the likes of Getafe away, actually almost every single La Liga team away, what makes you think we can beat City? City is not as shitty as many think. We will get booted, me thinks.

City is even shittier than the last time we met. And Aguero is no threat, last time around he had 1 contact with the ball for the entire game…he’ll probably get injured anyway

And those who say City is shitty, this is based on what? I am not a fan of BPL so I don’t follow City really, the only time I saw them play was the two CL group games against Bayern and yes they were dominated and looked poor, but any team with the exception of Real Madrid perhaps will look poor when you play against Bayern. Last time I checked, City is just 3 points behind Chelsea, the leader of the table. Are you saying City is worse than they were last season?

Mark my word, we will be out from the stage of 16! shocking? you better believe it. The setup to place Barca vs strong opponents from the get go plus the incompetence Luise Enrique will make our shameful exit happen sooner than later.

We can only hope we’ll hit our peak of this season by then. Otherwise, we are out.

The ONLY chance we have of getting through is that City don’t typically park the bus.. but on current form City wins (and their not playing great either

City is a good team and Barca is nowhere close to the reputation they’ve made for themselves in the past years. But I think Barca will be the winner at the end. I do not see that character and experience in this City team to get past Barca. They barely made it through the group stage thx to the Bayern players gifting the balls to Aguero. Upsets always happen in Football, but I think if Lucho and some players don’t go retard Barca will beat City in both matches.

My two cents about this: Even 3rd division women teams will laugh at us. With a good reason.

Bayern dominated them in germany, only a superhuman Joe hart made the scoreline respectable. silly mistakes cost them the return leg, which despite playing most of the game with 10 men they dominated most of the game. and Roma created plenty of chances in rome but they didn’t take them, city did. They were unconvincing, unlike last year’s group stage, city look a much worse team especially in europe this season. We are also worse than last season but we beat them 4-1 so surely we should be able to knock them out, even if it close.

I think it could go either way. I’d probably have Barca as favorites, but it’s only a matter of time until City actually stop being terrible in Europe, so you never know. That said, Barca’s front three is terrifying on paper (even better than Real Madrid’s imo) so if Suarez comes back into form, and Messi hits his previous heights I could see Barca winning the whole thing.

People are massively overrating City again, just like last year. We should go through, and I expect us to, which doesn’t mean it’s a fact. City is nowhere near as good as people make them out to be. Especially their defence and midfield are whack.

Haahah neymar is gonna destroy Mangala

As long we don’t lose control of the midfield we will defeat them easily. Otherwise we have to struggle. In form Silva and Yaya could do a lot of damage to our weakened midfield. Lucho needs to cone with a plan.

lol at people afraid of city. they always choke.

City are better than PSG but still very beatable. Silva and Yaya need to be in full form to compete on level with barca

City’s season probably hinges on the CL now so expect a performance from them in the first leg. Take a result back to Barcelona and we should finish them off at home.

they can always score a goal from a beautiful play. One of the better teams when it comes to passing, bummer for them that they have to meet one of the top 2 teams at that chapter. However, Messi has a poor away record in England, Suarez is kind of off in front of goal and Neymar can always have an off day himself. I don’t feel overly optimistic about this. I’d take a draw with goals right now.

My gut is saying this will be an easy victory, we’ve been playing great as of late and Messi is in top form…..8-1

Man City isn’t very good. Particularly in the areas that you need to be too beat us. They’ve been a complete embarrassment this year and there is no way we should be fearing them anymore than Málaga I predict 0-4 with all goals due to defense and gk ineptitude. Sorry your CL route is always so tragically unlucky, City, but there’s no way you’re making it to the Ro8.

Joking aside This will be a Tough one. I expect Man City to come out swinging, Since Pellegrini’s Job is Probably on the line and wants to make sure His team won’t be Defeated so easily. We need to Apply the Pressure the whole Match, and Minimize Mistakes and we Can win. Just a wild guess I’m guessing at best maybe a 3-1, But I would Be Satisfied with a 2-1 or 1-0.

Very tricky game. I´m worried.

Do you see why I’m worried after today’s match against Malaga? Watch it and then maybe you’ll understand where I’m coming fro

Manchester City 5 – 0 Newcastle , still 15minuts to play ..The odds seem to be changing a little bit here .

One game and now everyone will be shitting their pants. And I’m the one changing my mind so often…Nothing changed, we will win 3-1 at Etihad.

After yesterdays loss I expect to see a heroic effort from the team in order to make up for what happened against Malaga both for the fans and themselves. It could end up sparking a fire in the team, and in the long run this loss against Malaga could be a good wake-up call at an important moment in the season. I think we started to ride the high of victory and became a bit complacent, none of the players barring Pique or Busquets looked even half as mentally sharp or ready as they looked against Bilbao or Atletico. We need to regain that level of focus, so this loss could be good in helping us do that. So in a way, this loss could make the game harder for City. I expect our players to go to Etihad like a bunch of lions and give it their all to win and regain the momentum and optimism we’ve had. They know very well how much is at stake now. Leo and everyone has given the Last year Tata chose 4-4-2.I guess midfielders were Iniesta,Cesc,Xavi,Busquets and they really controlled the tempo of the game.BUT this year Xavi is out,Cesc is gone and Iniesta is in decline. So,should Barca start 4-3-3 or 4-4-2?That’s a big question for me.Imagine Busquets,Racitic,Iniesta against Nasri,Silva,Fernando,Milner(Fernandinho). If i were Pellegrini,i would give a chance to lampard, instead of milner(Fernandinho).Because his experience combined with superb long balls are vital for counter attacks. Anyway, great match is coming.Really hope to see exciting matches after those boring CL games.impression that they really want to fight for trophies this season, so let’s just forget that blip that was yesterdays loss and focus ahead and win this CL tie.

Don’t know why I’ve got Sky Sports News on, showing the highlights of the Citeh v Newcastle game; if we give them too much room and they’re allowed to play like that with our shambles defence – we’re done. Just looks like practise for Tuesday. Really am hoping Barça step it up and City choke under the pressure that “this is the CL & this is the mighty Barça”.

I will be extremely happy if we draw them 1:1 on Tuesday.

Keep calm and believe in lucho. Even pep lost some matches, these things happen in football. Chasing the game against a parked bus (who are very organized and very good squad) is never easy. Does not matter it is home or away (the crowd actually sucks not giving enough support for players)

Kompany said that they fear Stoke more than us

Never seizes to make me laugh, Kompany is such a butthurt moron. Loved when he said that Barca didn’t deserve to win the tie last year. Even though the guy has a massive f

Are they gonna park the bus like bitch*es or do they have enough balls to try to impose their game ? Knowing Pellegrini , I think that they will park the bus, even in their own stadium. This is what happened last season.ucking head, he has a brain the size of a peanut.
