Watching tunnel cam and Costa does look like a nice geezer behind all the bollocks, everyone was very friendly to him I just think his 'edge' gets the better of him on the pitch and he becomes a parody of what he is supposed to be if that makes sense.

Little Fern kicked his arse because he was a turn coat on the Brazilian national team to win a few pots with Spain.

And watching tunnel cam you'd think Costa was a nice lad. He comes in and says hi to all the security opening the doors for the players. Gives all the City kids high fives when walking passed.

Some players are idiots on the pitch but mild as cats off it. Kind of a dr Jekyll and mr Hyde kind of thing. Perhaps he's one of them.

Must be because he seems sound on that tunnel cam.

His antics are 100% calculated. A bit of an Italian defending, win at all costs air about it. Don't see why he can't be a nice chap off the pitch.

Fernandinho has told the press that the clash with Diego Costa was not intentional and blown out of proportion.

Can't believe he brought a razor on the pitch to cut his own head to try and get one of ours sent off!

The medical staff must have got him and Cahill mixed up because they stuffed the tampons up Cahill's nose instead.

I reckon if Costa doesn't buck his ideas up, start playing as a striker and not a whiner, someone with a shocking first touch and always on his arse.Chelsea will soon tire of him. His head was hit in the challenge because his timing and positioning was so poor, not that ferd did anything malicious. Who was first to the ball ? and who won the ball ?

Re Fern

I think it's intentional. There's little doubt in my mind that Fern knows what he's doing and that it's gonna hurt. Just a couple of minutes earlier Costa put in a tough and unnecessary challenge on him and that would've been the payback. With that in mind it's almost a work of art. Hurting someone while not showing any effort or intent what so ever. Normally I'd not condone that but considering who's on the receiving end, I think I'll just put on a smug smile.

Re Sterling

Just reviewed the highlights and saw that I got it wrong, Sterling was only directly involved in one of the chances. Whatever.

I hate to say this, but I changed my mind for the same reason and think might have been too. However, a red might have not been given because of Costa's antics/style of play during the game and reputation.

I've seen a few articles today and yesterday being very negative about Fabregas. His failure to support Matic in midfield was just one complaint.

Media looking for scapegoats rather than writing the bleedin' obvious that City were so dominant, City were so rampant , that fine, quality players like Fabregas and Matic couldn't stop City.
