That transfer is every bit as dodgy as most Harry redknapp's deals.

What's confusing about it? Trusted pair of hands that the Count knew well in case Joe went off the reservation. He was a top keeper in Spain and is a really decent goalie. What's so sketch about it? I put harts golden glove down to internal pressure knowing the baldy could step up and be really decent cover. A keeper needs that pressure I think.

I honestly don't think he is any better than Westwood, who is club trained and was available at the same time.

The Sun has a picture of Sterling on holiday sucking suspiciously from a balloon just weeks after being caught inhaling laughing gas.

I don't see anything remotely wrong with that. It's not even illegal and has virtually 0 effect on his physical or mental ability. Who are the 'holier than thou' idiots who hold 20 year old footballers to be a role model?

As a side note, the dippers have to be the leakiest club of all time. Every contact we have with them seems to be immediately echoed to their buddies in the press

COuld be worse could be like Jack Grealish, who isnt far off Sterlings age, thats much worse. I think we all forget how young Sterling is.

I like these well-paid players to behave and show some respect to their bodies for about 50 weeks a year. But I'm struggling with this Grealish crticism - getting pissed up on holiday with his mates in the summer. Lying in the gutter basically shows he doesn't drink much doesn't it?

Do we handle the deals well ? End of the season I heard it would be precise, clinical, deals done, For me make the statement ! Get Pogba, they would all fall in then IMHO. Sterling 45 mil or more ? Pogba is going to be double that.

The only precise clinical signings i've seen from us (post-cook) have been Ferna, Navas and Negredo.

City need to put £42 million on the table and make it clear to Liverpool if they walk away from this bid we won't be back...

No point messing around further, £40++ million is a huge sum and Liverpool need to wake up and realise we aren't taking the mick over Sterling, it's a very fair offer.

So if the dippers have turned down a very fair price, then just walk away. Offer £75 for Bale. Let the dippers know they are dealing with a bigger club. If we are to spend £40+m on Sterling, much as I think he would improve us, I'd sooner us go all out for a bona fide 'crack' player. One who makes the football world draw breath and send a statement. The transfer of Bale would do that. Historically we have bought players who, although were good were not the best, whilst the rags would pay that extra to get the best. We are now in a position financially to buy the best, so let's do that.

What they do is drill a hole in the middle of hubcaps , attach them with taught string and communicate out of Scamfield to the hot dog vendor near Stanley park. When he's not selling pidgeon pies he lets one home back to it's house above the pub where the scouse press frequent( just near the dole office). From there it gets passed to Mike Ellis's uncle ( press ) , who is drunk and lying in the gutter. By which time "Thirsty millwork is killing me" has become "Thirty Mill Sterling Fee".

Agreed ! Real Madrid paid us tribute in a veiled message a couple of days ago (might be reading too much into it) re Aguero and maybe us bidding for Bale ?? anyway we might aswell flex our financial muscle bigtime on a marquee player right now whether Pogba or anyone else .......... thing with Pogba is we might have already made some progress quietly we don't really know as we are usually clever with our business and keep it out of the media to a large extent thus this fucking Liverpool / Sterling soap opera the scouse cunts are playing out with immediate leaks to the press is classless , typical of them seeking fucking attention yet again , Would love Sterling at City he would fit in very well imho but sometimes you just have to walk away from cunts like these and look elsewhere , Last thing I would want as a City fan is those scouse cunts having us over , they have become a joke club, fuck them right off if needs be !

I'm not convinced Liverpool have turned it down as such. I think they may be negotiating about how it's paid.

Just seemed to take a long time for news to spread that it had been turned down. I'm not sure the media have got anything solid on it.
