Yaya definitely staying. We surely would have been interested in Fabregas if he was going. Hope he retires from international football and misses the ACON

I always pick the wrong post to to sarcy on

http://www.chelseafc.com/news-article/article/3900839/title/fabregas-signs-for-chelsea

He signed like a hour and a half ago. Officially. Jeez.
"I used to be 6 foot 2 with curly hair, look what it's done to me"

"In my career so far it's the most important goal. You score the goal in the last minute to win the title. You're not sure if that's ever going to happen in your career again. I wish I could tell you how I did it but I can't. I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."

Big signing for Chelsea this, he is quality. He could easily push them to the title next season.

One positive I take from this, at least he didn't sign for the rags. He would have fixed their broken midfield easily and i'd like it to stay broken thank you very much!

Yeah but I already don't like Chelsea for next season ... Febregas in the middle, Costa up top and Mourinhio to motivate and plan ... they will be our biggest rivals next season ... Arsenal will as usual try (and probably) get 4th, Scum will remain in 6/7th and Liverpool too will drop back down (at least from the title fight) ... we need to wisen up and quickly ... what hurt us after the title in 2012 was not signing too players and refreshing the squad ... we better well have learnt from that and in any case need defensive reinforcements anyway ...

Fabregas is a top player and if we weren't going for him, he shouldn't have gone to a direct competitor either ... this doesn't sit right with me.

Agree with this. Even if he was a bit part player for us, which i'd doubt anyway, would rather have him in our camp than in a direct rivals

We can't affect where he goes.

But what the fuck anyway? We are hamstrung by FIFA and have to prioritise. Chelsea were always going to strengthen.

Fernando in looks a great fit and Chelsea know we'll be the ones to beat.

I have to admit that this is a signing that doesn't make sense to me - looking at their manager, anyhow....

Some good moves from Chelsea.Fabregas is a great replacement for fat frank and Costa is a big upgrade on what they currently have up front.Looks like Chelsea will be a force in midfield.Matic,Ramirez,Oscar,Fabregas are all quality players. With both Willian and Hazard on the flanks that's seriously strong looking.

I'm not 'gutted'. Best move for him, he can hide away in their midfield.

Spot on not to mention new keeper, they prob get a left back and possibly some defensive cover and striking cover and they look extremely strong.
derby day the scores were level,
then the goat was fed by neville,
silly boy should know for sure,
feed the goat and he will score!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It allows Jose to play 1 forward and fabregas and /or hazard in behind

Perfect signing for the slightly cagey, pack the midfield system he seems to prefer

...and can also bag a few goals for them.
Next year is shit or bust for Mourinho.
He made a big play this year that not much can be expected but he has to deliver big time next year.

They will definitely be stronger, but so will we.
At the moment I believe we have still got more firepower in reserve. A few mad moments or injury for Costa (if he goes) could hurt them more given they are still light on the goal scoring front.

That's assuming costa will perform from the off. I'm not all that sure he is as suited to the premier league as to be an instant success.

The midfield will be the key for Chelsea now, and it looks pretty tasty and full of goals, but he can only fit 5 in at a time and I would say a little light on the defensive side if midfield

We've got David Silva, a creator, not a runner like Fabregas.

His style is premier league-esque but whether or not he can perform as well in England in the premier league is another matter

Costa, Fabregas, Zouma, likely Felipe Luis and players such as Courtois and Lukaku returning to an already title-challenging squad. Big competition.
