One positive I take from this, at least he didn't sign for the rags. He would have fixed their broken midfield easily and i'd like it to stay broken thank you very much!

Fabregas is a top player and if we weren't going for him, he shouldn't have gone to a direct competitor either ... this doesn't sit right with me.

Arsenal will as usual try (and probably) get 4th, Scum will remain in 6/7th and Liverpool too will drop back down (at least from the title fight) ... we need to wisen up and quickly ... what hurt us after the title in 2012 was not signing too players and refreshing the squad ... we better well have learnt from that and in any case need defensive reinforcements anyway ... Fabregas is a top player and if we weren't going for him, he shouldn't have gone to a direct competitor either ... this doesn't sit right with me.

They will definitely be stronger, but so will we. At the moment I believe we have still got more firepower in reserve. A few mad moments or injury for Costa (if he goes) could hurt them more given they are still light on the goal scoring front.

That's assuming costa will perform from the off. I'm not all that sure he is as suited to the premier league as to be an instant success.
The midfield will be the key for Chelsea now, and it looks pretty tasty and full of goals, but he can only fit 5 in at a time and I would say a little light on the defensive side if midfield
