Billionaire investor who sacked a decent manager who didnt match the new owners ambitions. They havent looked back since.

They also then got trigger happy, sacked the successful manager and have won very little since

you do realise that he got that job when they were in the semi final and left 8 months later leaving them in the relegation zone second from bottom!

Just another fact for you.

And do you realise that was Fiorentina's only trophy in 5 years and they havent won one since?

Fiorentina was his first managerial job and they were financially buggered so despite winning the Coppa Italia he was not given the resources to build a squad capable of challenging and so joined an already sinking ship?

Just another fact for you...

he was also with lazio for 2 years before winning his only trophy, do you think he will get that long at city?

just another fact for you.

Yet you are still twisting the facts to try and marr our new bosses acheivements little over 24 hours into his reign at City?

Are you hurting over Hughes and attacking the best manager available to us instead of facing defeat in the hughes in/out debate gracefully?

Again Lazio had not won anything for 4 years before Mancini achieved that in his second season managing the club, he inhereted a squad in difficulty and yet still managed to win Copa Italia, get to the final of the Italian Super Cup and finish top six.

Keep throwing them my way and i'll keep batting them back in your face.

Inter Milan hadn't won a trophy in 16 years before Mancini and hadn't won the league for 18 years so him winning it for inter is kind of similar to him doing it at say Liverpool over here.

To start with the previous season before Mancini took over Inter obtained 59 points and finished 4th place. They were 23 points behind winners AC Milan, 12 points behind second placed Roma and 10 points behind third Placed Juventus.

In his first season (2004/05) They finished third place being 16 points behind Juventus and 5 points behind AC Milan. This was during the time when Juventus, AC etc were cheating and having corrupt referees officiate for them. Also wins Coppa Italia Cup.

For 2005/06 They finished third place again 15 points behind Juventus and 12 points behind Milan. Once again there were corrupt referees this year but this was when it was discovered. The title was handed to Inter. Also won Coppa Italia again.

In 2006/07 season Mancini's inter team managed to haul a whopping 97 points which is the most any team has ever got from Serie A as well as any of the other top leagues. They also set new highs for consecutive wins (17), most wins (30), most away wins (15), and consecutive away wins (11). Second-placed Roma finished 22 points behind. Some teams did suffer points reductions from the match fixing but you could give all the points back to them and Inter would still have won the league by a mile. Overall they had 30 wins, 7 draws and 1 loss. Granted Juventus were not in the league at the time. They also reached the final of the Coppa Italia cup but lost to Roma.

2007/08 season he won the league again for Inter with Juventus now back in Serie A. They had 25 wins, 10 draws and only 3 losses. They amassed 85 points. They also reached the final of the Coppa Italia cup but lost to Roma again.

In contrast Jose Mourinho won the league with them the next season with 1 point less than Mancini with 84 points. He also got to the semi finals of the Coppa Italia cup. Mancini has only ever been a finalist or a winner of the Coppa Italian cup.

So to sum it all up, we have got ourselves a winner in Roberto Mancini.

2004/05 - Quarter final of the Champions League.

2005/06 - Quarter final of the Champions League.

2006/07 - First Knockout round. They lost to away goals 2 - 2 against Valencia.

2007/08 - First Knockout round. They lost 3 - 0 against Liverpool but in both legs only had 10 men from terrible refereeing.

Well I for one don't give a monkey's what a person's past is , I am only interested in his future. As with the majority on here I have no idea if Mancini is the right man from here or not I just hope he is.

I think he has every chance as he is inheriting a very good well motivated squad ( bar maybe 1 or 2 players) and a team in a decent position in the league and a great position in the CC.

WRONG ON 2 POINTS

POINT 1 ; A MANAGERS PAST IS VERY IMPORTANT - IT GIVES THE EMPLOYER A GOOD IDEA IF THE CANDIDATE WILL BE SUCCESFULL WORKING FOR HIM.
AND IT WOULD SEEM MANCINI IS INHERITING A VERY UNMOTIVATED SQUAD AS A NUMBER OF THEM WENT BANGING ON COOKS DOOR UPSET AT HUGHES DISMISSAL.

APART FROM THOSE 2 POINTS YOUR SPOT ON.
THEY SAY SWEARING IS DUE TO A LIMITED VOCABULARY. I KNOW THOUSANDS OF WORDS, BUT I STILL PREFER "FUCK OFF" TO "GO AWAY"

If Mancini can manage a wanker like Ibra and a nutcase like Adriano to 3 scudettos in a row, im sure he'll be fine with or squad.

Lets see what his tictacs are like though first befoe we start pulling his plonk.

That's a lickers mentality for you.

He might have one 3 titles but it was at the time of all the match fixing. The first title was given to for finishing 3rd & the other two came when Juventus weren't even in the division & AC Milan were given a points deduction..... WOW! What an achievement!
