We shouldn't have replaced him in the first place!!!!

My question about Mancini does still stand however..... I would like to know peoples thoughts on this.

When he was at Lazio he was known for playing in a very un-italian way. A bit more cautious at Inter. But he was known for playing quite a high tempo game. This caught the opposition off guard because they were used to the traditional Italian approach of slowly, slowly build up. He played high pressing, a lot of fitness work as well as tactics.

I also think we will see 442. I expect him to want a simple "two banks of four" to improve our defensive organisation.

Walmai, you're a nice fella, but I must tell you that Brian Kidd is very well respected for his coaching skills and his interaction with the squad. He worked very well at old trafford under Fergie. It's actually not a bad addition.

I knew that, but there is still something incongruous in lodging Sparky - in circumstances where his very presence as manager was controversial for some - and hiring Kidd as Assistant Manager. You're right, its not a bad addition. It just made me chuckle to hear it.

Many blues in their 40's and older have very fond memories of him and a high regard for him. So his impressive, but rag-tainted, CV will be read in a positive, or at least neutral, light by many people.

I did know he'd played for you in truth, but hadn't realised he had that kind of scoring record.

I have better memories of his being Taggart's lap-dog, before turning his hand to a pretty unspectacular (and brief) head coach's role for a while.
