Whilst they are entered into the cup schemes, they are entitled to opt out game by game and have been for a couple of seasons now

I just doubt the wording would be used like this, it seems a bit too convenient to bash them for it.

Surely not, this is beyond the pail, and to be honest, it sounds like a blagger being sent round by blues.

Can anyone actually verify any of this?

I will look again sparty mate but i'm sure it's true.

That's the problem with social media though isn't it. Theres no accounting for the stupidity of the mass of users. Too many people acting like sheep and retweeting stuff that's a load of shit. It doesn't mean anything, except that there are a load of sheep getting giddy about something, and spreading it without even considering the truth.

Happens all the time with Facebook, all the millions of dicks who like and share to get a free ipad surely knowing full well there is no such offer, but doing it anyway and thus giving free marketing to apple, BMW etc exactly as those companies planned in the first place.

The wording of this really doesn't look like a corporate communication.......aside from that, like I said above, my understanding is that you automatically purchase the ticket on a certain date, but have time before that date to opt out......there is no mandatory purchase any more.

It's from Coral's verified account so if they say they've suspended betting on it then they have ...

Question then is ... why have the suspended betting on it ... too many speculators betting on it? and Coral taking measures to not go bankrupt of it does happen or is there something in it that it might actually happen?

City got pretty shitty with me over the cup scheme when my registered card expired. Their words were:

"In line with section 6 of the Seasoncard Terms and Conditions for the 2013/14 Cup Scheme, should payment not be made for this fixture, you will be removed from the FA Cup Scheme, and loyalty points accrued for joining will also be removed."

They didnt threaten to suspend you from attending the next derby though. I think there are probably people who register to get points but when the cup comp comes aeound, they are either skint or cannot be arsed to go. City were not shitty with you IMO they just quoted the T's & C's

I agree. City did nothing wrong. The threatened sanction was perfectly reasonable but also in the Ts and Cs
Neither did Scum it turns out. Their season ticket terms (on their dirty OS) say if a ST holder fails to buy a home cup ticket (other than COC)

" the Ticket Holder’s Season Ticket may be suspended for one home league match."

Nasty but true

So I buy a season ticket, a ticket that I pay for in exchange for 19 games. If I fail to make additional purchases they can take away what I've already paid for?

It's late and I might be missing the obvious, but does anyone other business, any other goods or service provider ever do something like this?

problem is the agreement is to buy not 19, but 19 plus n (home cup tie) tickets, and the upfront payment, while it relates to the 19 guaranteed league fixtures, is only a part payment for the whole agreement. The penalty for failing to pay is a suspension of the "service"

I did think of one, and I have nothing to do with them now either. I assume your cable/pay TV providers do the same as ours, when I wanted to buy the sports channels(that's literally all I wanted) they make you buy the basic package and then charge you on top of that for the sports package, so it turns out cheaper to get a bundle which includes kids channels, documentaries(okay, not too upset about that) and lifestyle channels. All in you end up spending so much you may as well pay the extra $5/month to get the next level up which includes another 100 or so channels, none of which you actually want.

I asked if there was a service where they give you like 10(20, 30, 50) channels and you just pick and choose the ones you want, apparently that would cause the less popular channels to go broke, so they don't do it. That's right, your paid television could be a lot cheaper if you weren't subsidising the channels you don't want in the first place.

Needless to say, I don't feel even a little bad about using joans every chance I get.

It is true then after all ... MEN just did a story on these emails flying around and even got a response from the Scum.

So they are forced to buy FA cup and European match tickets, if they don't do it they have a one game league suspension on their season ticket every time with no guarantee of getting a refund for that suspension at the end of the season. What a liberty. I'm not surprised they don't sell out.

I tell you what. if our club goes down the same line as the Rag model they'll have a proper fight on their hands. Luckily though, we have more class than that and we'll never see it.
