Cardiff 0-0 so far against a poor Everton but battered us.... our defence is s mess yet it was the best in the prem last two seasons. I understand why Bob went but we chose the wrong guy to replace him.

Of course we could go backwards but this is the first time we have had football men running the club.
We are trying to drastically change the way the team plays from a team that sits back when we dont have the ball, builds up attacking play slowly and methodically with emphasis on full backs over lapping to a team that presses high up the pitch with quicker passes and build up play with the players playing with more freedom. This takes time and it is only in games where you truly learn where you are so there is no way Pellegrini is getting sacked before Christmas

Perhaps it had something to do with the fact that previous manager had won us FA Cup and League title and therefore (should have) had some room to operate. That feller was sacked because we were going to get even better manager. That is still possible but people rightfully expect to see improvement on last manager not similar or poorer showings.

Nobody should be sacked so no need to get defensive. You can say it takes time but really, as our team team got time?

That's a very good point and is in danger of being lost in the conversation Only Gary is the first guy not really coming from football
Otherwise it's much if the same.
I don't buy for one minute that this squad needs time to gel, the majority have been around for a while now.
