Unfortunately Cook did say what has been mentioned, there were audible groans and boos but after the event he did a Q&A with the fans and there was one dickhead who had to be dragged away from the top table. I spoke with Cook and he really did appear to be crestfallen, its a shame cos what he had to say was spot on and it does give you a great sense that we are on the right lines as a club (if not on the pitch at times).
As for making a quick exit we were some of the last to leave and Cook was still there chatting to fans. An unfortunate fuck up sadly, but not worth the vitriol that some of the idiots there were spouting.
Had a brief chat with my hero, King Colin and he surprised me as being much bigger than I imagined. Also chatted with Joe Corrigan and he is still fucklin mahusive and a top bloke to boot! I think I've got him to agree to come down to our OSC annual awards dinner!!

If we lose Cook to something so trivial it will set us back years. The bloke has done so much to improve everything about the club off the pitch. It would be a major embarrassment to City if he was hounded out for this and it would show that in fact we haven't got the best fans in all the world.

My thoughts exactly mate. It's just not possible that those words come out when you're heart is etched with Manchester CITY.
Until now I 've been pretty supportive of Cook but this changes a lot of things. If he doesn't even know who he works for he can do one.

Maybe all these sponsorship deals he's doing will let him keep his job, but then seeing most of them come from AD, maybe he isn't doing them?

Precisely. All this talk about global branding and world domination and all that actually has been delivered are deals with parties connected to the Sheikh. As far as I can tell, all he brings to the table is a very large gob which all too often seems to have his foot in it.
