i'd be amazed if he claims he did see it, and it was nfa.
i think whelan will get a ban for that.

A retrospective ban is the only option.

He'll say whatever the FA tell him to say.
It didn't look too bad from where I was sitting, but I've just seen it again on tv and if he doesn't get a retrospective 3 match ban I'll eat my own scrotal sack.
He basically jumped in the air and stamped on him with 2 feet. Horrible tackle. I knew what he'd done at the time and was surprised he wasn't sent off because it was a definite red.
it was shocking......shocking he didnt break is leg!!

There is one who said that he'd get away with it because there was no contact!
Most of them are in agreement though, deserves a 3 match ban and very lucky to stay on the pitch. I wouldn't call it luck, I'd call it Webb'esque.

even though webb clearly didn't see it?

only mr webb can "prove" that. But it is my opinion. You're implying that webb "chose" note to see - i'm suggesting that from the angle shown on itv, directly behind webb, it was just a mass of bodies, so i'm personally not surprised he didn't send him off.
i would, however, be surprised if he didn't report it after seeing other angles.

i disagree, purely on the basis that he'll mention it in his report. and if he doesn't, he's a massive bellend.
