His pace is a serious weapon and pace is something we lack so i think he will give us a different dimension.Lets be realistic he is hardly being signed to walk straight in to the side.I don't see him starting regularly by any means but could see him being very effective off the bench, bring him on to run at tired defenders and he will cause all sorts of problems.

That lad who is just as quick & miles, miles better has just been transferred on the cheap. Can't believe Marwood wasn't quick enough to snap him up... what a wanker to miss this one.
It's obvious he is just the player we need for variety; can play wide either side, through the middle, scores goals. Cost fuck all.
Bellamy I think his name was.

Come off it.Great player and still performing quite well but close to finished at this stage and Sinclair has an easy 10 years on him.I personally would loved to have had him at city a little longer than we had him as he gave everything but certainly not now at this stage.I think the move back to Cardiff again will be great for him it's what he wants and i hope he helps them push for promotion.
David Hoilett would have been my own preference i really think we missed out on that one but Sinclair is certainly an exciting young player and i firmly believe he can offer us something different if he joins.

If he turns out to be shite, I will pretend Brian Marwood forced Mancini to sign him & think he's a right wanker for not getting him off the wage bill quick enough.
If this is true, I'll be shocked but trust Bob. It wouldn't be amongst my top 50 signings though.
Home grown quota maybe ?
Me too, he was a Chelsea youth product and didnt make it for them, that in theory means he won't be good enough for us, but you never know. For 5.5 mill imo its worth a try.
Slim wrote:I know we all want to sign Messi, and Sinclair is not quite as good as Messi. But not every transfer can be break the bank spectacular and some times you have to look for aspects that we need with a good all around skillset to back them up. I think Sinclair fits the bill and as someone said, he has pace which outside of Aguero and that freight train in midield we don't really have.

Mase wrote:To the people still mentioning Jr Hoilett; have you actually seen him play more than a handful of times and not on match of the day?
As I've said previously my mates a season ticket holder at Rovers and when he's got a spare I sometimes go up with him if City aren't at home on the same day.
The kid is average at best! Greedy, runs in to blind alleys, and is definitely not a team player. The kid Moses is better from what I've seen.
Its kind of like how fans of other teams go on about AJ being quality. "I can't believe Johnson doesn't start every week. He's amazing! Mancini is holding him back" When really they've only seen him on match of the day skin someone and put it in the bottom corner from outside the box. So they haven't seen him lose it 8 times on the half way line by pissing about with the ball leading to an opposition attack. They haven't seen him not track back or get stuck in.

Pretty much all top sides have a few average to merely good players in their squads who can do a job when required, won't be asking for ridiculous salaries and are happy to be part of the squad. We too do need a few players like that.
