Remarkable isnt it. Without Europa League, he wants to improve by a whole 2 places. What an utter fucking waste of oxygen.

I hope fulham fans are already getting a taste of how that cunt manufactures himself excuses long before the event, because by the sounds of it, he is already setting expectations of a wank season, and he views European Qualification as bothersome.

That will explain his first season with us then, and why he finished 9th instead of top 6.

We finished 10th actually.

Man is already making pathetic excuses for failure. Hodgson got them 7th in the league in his first season. Last season he got them to UEFA Cup final. Hughes thinks 10th place finish would be brilliant job. What a pathetic loser.

Feel sorry for Fulham supporters.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

To be fair, tough, 10th is a very realistic target for Fulham. They over preformed massively when they ended in 6th under Hodgson. And Danny Murphy is not getting younger (he's been carrying that team for a couple of seasons now).

Al Fayed added, in what Hughes will hope was tongue in cheek: "I'm sure this guy can get us to the championship."

Didn't Hughes get his hat nailed on, accused of mouthing off & told to shut his trap whenever he said the slightest positive thing whatsoever about City's chances in the press? Perhaps I just imagined it?

He did get a lot of stick on here mate, not so much at the ground though.

I think he has his rose tinted glasses on when describing his 'success' here.

Hughes lost me following the Spurs game. He hadnt a clue what he was doing that night and clearly couldnt make his mind up as to what his best team should be.

Great to see Niall back on form today.

Hughes is a grade a bullshitter, he can't help himself - who the fuck does he think he is? This press conference is just like old times, I have never particularly liked Fulham, but I feel a strange affinity with the sort of rage their fans will soon be feeling at the pathetic excuses and bullshit that spews forth from his fucking gob.

And god help them if al Fayed gives the cunt any money from the sale of Harrods, of course we all know he needs 6 transfer windows etc etc.

God I hate that man

Hughes has scripted his names into the City History Books. He's moved on now, so should we.

funny thing is that.....these days I think you are spot on in most football related content you post

when Hughes was in charge I thought completely the opposite and that you were just blindly prejudicial as you hated him (....as you know....that is/was far from unique to you)

retrospectively I can well accept that sometimes when i thought you were wrong you were spot on (as I...and likely others...discounted what you were saying due to the fact that it was clear that Hughes could do no right in some people's eyes) .....but law of averages would dictate that your unequivocably anti-Hughes line was equally massively out of kilter with reality much of the time

i've never known opinion to be so polarised in such a way that reality was actually distorted for so many.....(in both directions)

made me laugh when hughes said thought i did well at city. what about all the draws? signing injured RSC? being made to look a mug when bidding for lescott? surrounding yourself around your welsh idiot friends in the backroom? lets face hughes didnt cut the mustard and was not the most marketable for a club looking to improve its global profile.

what i do find mental is the amount of pro hughes followers still in COM. Theres a load who sit near me in south upper. lets move on and not forget the lad is an ex mune

I miss the rows now!!

No i know where you are coming from pal, back then in utter furstration, many of us on both sides said things that we wouldnt say to another blue normally, but I think thats the benefit of the forum in that although I was pissed off, I vented my spleen on here rather than projecting my negativity to those around me and thus onto the pitch.

I see the forum as a valuable social function where people can let off steam by debate rather than battling at the ground - although I did see such battling near me at the Hamburg game over Hughes, something I would hope not to see againj

As much as I like a good row, I'd rather that didnt happen again - although with the style of footy on offer, I dont think another similar situation is far round the corner unfortunately.

Such a good thread for some to let the anger out.....yet again. Hilarious to me that it seems the ones with most to say( repeat) are the ones who say let's move on.
