The Abu Dhabi-based airline says it ‘categorically rejects’ the findings of the competition’s commission and warns it is now seeking legal advice on next steps.
Etihad spokesperson: “Etihad categorically rejects any finding, conclusion or implication that suggests the airline has ever been involved in improper commercial arrangements. The Premier League’s public communication of the Commission’s findings, following a period of selective leaks and reporting, has further created damaging implications for Etihad despite the airline not being named in the redacted published findings.
“At no time did the Premier League reach out to or engage with Etihad in the process associated with the Commission’s opinion. Etihad was therefore never given opportunity by the Premier League to be represented, provide relevant information, or ensure the accuracy and fairness of information relied upon in reaching conclusions that may now be interpreted as reflecting adversely on the airline.
“Etihad is deeply concerned by the way this matter has been communicated publicly. The lack of clarity and transparency, together with the selective disclosure of information, has created damaging implications for Etihad despite the airline not being named in the published decision. The Premier League must take responsibility for the consequences of the way in which these findings have been presented.
“We stand with the Club, its supporters and our wider Etihad community as #MCFC challenges the Commission’s conclusions through the processes available to it. Etihad will seek the relevant legal counsel on the options and recourse available to protect its interests…” [via Mike Keegan, MailSport]

Great to see and I don't really think the PL understand the barrel of worms that they have opened up here. To not only trump up the charges but have such scathing, emotional language throughout it is libelous towards a good number of businesses and governmental organizations.
It seems we are now in a media influence campaign vs the facts situation. And the media will start to turn once everything becomes more apparent.

My son has just shown me the statement with tears in his eyes. Is this really as big as I think it is. Cheers Seán.

At least the rat Roan has put his name to it. Think that should spell the end for our friends on ordsall quays in being welcomed to the Etihad.
Loving the sweet irony of Etihad announcement. The PL wrongly accuse us of hiking the price of deals for sponsorship effectively saying it was all the Kingdom's wealth. Now look who is coming after you. Be funny if there is another statement from another sponsor tomorrow and then they keep coming.

Notice that Roan didn't name any specific Club. This is poor reporting. It could just be speculative from him. He should name names with the proof that
they have written or said something. Otherwise , like Talkcrap is is just BS

The PL board really are finished.
Just imagine the amount of Business companies like Deloitte, SAP and so on make world wide with Companies and businesses that are owned by the City owner.
Do you think they would want their reputations damaged by an imbecile at the PL?
Further , do you think they would be happy losing business if they didn't fall in line and look into litigation ?
