January 23 transfer window.

Pep has openly said if a player is unhappy and wants to leave, he can go. Way too much waffle so far about Cancelo. If he wants out let him go . I think we can get a good price for him. I thought it was grossly unfair that Cancelo wouldn't play the ball to Foden in the Derby, as if they had a problem with each other- when it was clear he had to play Foden in . Instead going on mazy runs an losing the ball a few times. Anyway, if he wants to leave let him go. Maybe that will perk Ruben and Bernado up again ?

Glad he is going. He is a LB/RB who quite frankly is not a good defender and we have better options in Walker, Ake and Lewis. Gomez isn't much of an improvement but nor is he worse. So to get £60oddM back for him is fantastic business for me.

Reports are out there that he wants out and is a disruption to the rest of the squad. That warrants him being fucked off on its own.

Not bothered about a replacement to be honest. What would we do? Not sell him until we get a replacement? No, get rid now as its best for all concerned. It isn't as if he is/has been playing well this season so to sell him for decent money whilst we can still get it is worth it. Its more likely he would be a liability rather than an asset in the run in.

My only gripe is an initial loan followed by a permanent deal in the summer. I don't like this type of arrangement as what if he is injured can Bayern then not complete the sale? And if they have to, then why not pay up now?

If you're generally a decent guy like Bernardo is or at least seems to be, then you aren't going to turn into a cunt just because another guy is. It's not in the guys nature

that is how i see it with Bern- might be that Bern is relieved Cancelo is off .

There also appears to be no love lost between him and Foden either. Who knows, if he goes we might see a happier squad who play better. You only have to look at the swamp after Ronaldo was fucked off. It was like an overhanging cloud had been lifted and they have had better results subsequently.

Do you genuinely think that Gomez is on par with Cancelo? The best Cancelo we got was last season, and he was considered one of the best full backs in the world. When has Gomez been considered as that? He took a foul throw the other week!

Genuine question mate, what’s Gomez shown you to make you think he’ll reach the heights we got from Cancelo last season?

Last season isn't this season
Cancelo has been really poor this season and has not offered anything like he did going forward compared to last season.

Gomez isn't great, we know that, but my point is neither is Cancelo and getting good money in now means he's worth selling. His replacement, ie Ake, is better and his understudy, Gomez, is on a par for my money. A poor par admittedly but I don't think we are much worse off, if at all, if he played.

And re the foul throw. Did Cancelo not do one as well lately?

Probably. We could get £60m for Cancelo in the summer. Gomez won’t be sold for £60m if you add up all the transfers in his career. Cancelo, even though poor this season, is still miles better than Gomez. The kid is terrible!

But, he’s clearly got a terrible attitude and if it’s messing with the squad then it’s best he goes.

Not suggesting for one second Gomez will get to level Cancelo reached last season.
He won’t.
Ever.
But currently I don’t see Gomez as being much worse than Cancelo is, if at all, hence why I don’t think Cancelo will be missed and we needn’t worry about keeping him until we get a replacement as Ake is doing well

Cancelo can fuck off. Terrible this season and has never been a top class full back and never will. He's a confused and delusional cry baby. Don't need any rotten apples around the place. If you're not happy at City you are not the calibre of person we want. One positive about Pep is he wont allow any nonsense in and around the dressing room and has stated numerous times if anybody wants away they can go and I believe him. A happy Gomez is far superior to an unhappy and disruptive cancelo.

Yes. And so did Rico last week.

Think we've been practicing them lately - must be after the record for most foul throws in a season as it's the only domestic record left to break! :D
