January 23 transfer window.

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

I've heard he threw his toys out of the pram when he got substituted at half time at Stamford Bridge and was on to his agent telling him to get him out of here.
I was a big supporter of his the last 2 seasons but he's been embarrassing this season. Still don't understand the timing though.

Any time a player starts to create a shit atmosphere then timing is everything when it comes to getting rid of the problem.

I don't blame PeP for getting rid.

Just realised who his agent is….. Jorge Mendes. About time we refused to do business with this prick.

Ronaldo has finally binned him off so I’m guessing Mendes is looking for a bit of money. Needs to move all the players on his books that he can.

I can’t think of a worse agent - has all these decent players but fails to get them moves. Bernardo, Ronaldo…

I’m in Bantry this week, just heard on Irish news about Cancelo going to Bayern, wouldn’t bother me that much, but surely we need a replacement ASAP, preferably a seasoned LB.

If I’m Bernardo I look at this situation and think, ‘I’m gonna start acting the cunt now because its worked for Cancelo’.

If he has been shouting his mouth off, get him out i take back what i said about the lack of a replacement. Presumably we can call the kid back from Coventry if we need to?

i'm not insinuating anything, but does this type of stuff happen with all managers or is pep uniquely hard to work with? we've seen loads of players desperate to get out, and some have succeeded e.g. sancho, torres, diaz, garcia, sane, cancelo. we win trophies. we pay well. is it all down to playing time?

Come on, most love pep. He guarantees them medals

Imo if we didn't have a big enough name like pep Kevin would have kicked off before now

Pep isn’t a man-manager. I spotted the other day Grealish legged it back and made a class slide tackle to stop a counter. I looked at Pep thinking that he’d praise Jack but he turned away appealing for us to get the throw. I can see Jack is a player that needs an arm around his shoulder and to be told when he’s done well - not sure why Pep can’t see that.

But I think there’s more players that want to work with him than don’t. Torres was forced to move by his bird - hasn’t worked out for him. Sanè was forced to move by his mum - hasn’t really worked out for him. Sancho moved because he couldn’t wait - I’d argue that it’s worked out for him. Garcia was a wet wipe and wanted to go home. He was a terrible defender and did us a favour. Cancelo by all accounts is a mutant that won’t fight for his place.

I am more interested in that bit about him and Foden.
Phil did not cover himself in glory this season also.

It looks like the reports of him causing trouble, because he was not playing, are accurate.
If he thinks he deserved a place this season he is delusional and entitled. He has been utter garbage this season.
You play for Pep because he is innovative, improves you, go deep in the important competitions and win trophies and get a huge wedge. Not because he puts an arm around your shoulder and tells you you are great or because he is not demanding.
That's the deal as far as I can tell.

Get rid of this guy.

Perhaps that's why aren't seeking a replacement as we can recall him fro. Loan.

Also, maybe we have our eye on a Munich player in the summer and using this as a sweetner??

Two completely different things in my opinion. Knowing how to get the best from a player is something any manager should be good at. Knowing which ones to bollock and which ones to put an arm around are needed whether you’re Pep or Scott Parker.

Haaland, Dias, Kev - you could bollock them in front of the whole stadium and they’d take that and use it as fuel.

Grealish, Mahrez, Rodri, Laporte - you bollock them in front of the stadium and I’d imagine they’ll go into their shell.

Cancelo was probably neither and just wanted his bum changing for him.
