West Brom v Man City Match Preview

Teams: Baggies v Citizens
Date: Sunday 7th November
Time: Kick Off: 15:00

Here we are again, at the mercy of the press. The vicious poisonous hacks with their sharpened quils, hovering over their notebooks ready to pounce on any negativity they can find or make up on anything to do with Manchester City! Well, at least thats how it seems from a blue perspective. A siege mentality is slowly being adopted by the City fans and squad alike after reading article upon article of poisonous vitriol aimed at derailing our season as soon as possible. Thank god its Match day and we have a chance to silence the lynch mob, lets hope City shove those poisonous articles back down their throats by producing a display worthy of the talent at our disposal.

Onto the game
City face West Brom today in a game that has unexpectedly turned into a six pointer, with the impressive Baggies in excellent form this season. City’s early season form has dipped of late, meaning a win for home side at the Hawthorns would see them leapfrog City up into 4th Place in the Premier League. Roberto Di Matteo has his team playing some excellent flowing football that shows the opening day 6-0 defeat as a freak result. City will certainly have their work cut out for them this afternoon with the Hawthorns, which is not a happy hunting ground for City in recent times.

Last time out
City failed to hold onto their 1 goal advantage against the baggies local rivals Wolverhampton Wanderers and fell to a disappointing 2-1 defeat.

West Brom also fell to a 2-1 defeat, however, the circumstances were somewhat different as the Baggies were down to 9 men away from home at Bloomfield road against a very difficult Blackpool side.

Ones to watch

Aleksandar Kolarov
Eventually made his long awaited return from Injury in midweek against Lech Poznan. Hopefully Roberto Mancini will play him from the start and his powerful overlapping runs will give us an added dimension which City have lacked.

Peter Odemwingie
Started this season as a unknown quantity but burst on to the scene with some very impressive displays. He is hard working player who is a handful and certainly knows how to score, I think Toure will have his hands full with this fella today.

Predictions:

West Brom 2 – 4 Manchester City

IT HAS GOALS WRITTEN ALL OVER IT

COME ON CITY!
