The View from the Away End

Manuel-Pellegrini

I’m sat on a Greek island for this one, which has given me plenty of time to contemplate the events of the week. I still can’t quite work out what happened on Wednesday night, but I would like to pay my respects to The Count, thank him for his work, and wish  him well for the future.  The best advice I was ever given in life was, do what your boss tells you first, and I genuinely think he was working on strict orders from Abu Dhabi. This doesn’t explain some of the team performances, or tactical decisions this season, but I think it has been the driving force. As is well documented on here, it’s the end of an era for this particular squad, and it’s been fucking amazing. Personally, I cant wait for what comes next. The only fans who are happy at the moment are in Leicester. The goooners are practically suicidal, I think they actually make us look satisfied (not quite).  To all Blues going tomorrow, I wish you a brilliant afternoon, and say goodbye for me.

COME ON CITY !!!

Team Selection

And the rest…

Manchester City 0 – 3 The Gunners

Genuinely the game I look forward to every season…We always beat these wannabes!

There we go. To think people were identifying this as a potential championship decider when the fixture lists were released

I hope we win just so that it makes West Ham vs Utd an interesting watch…They’ll be coming back from Madrid so we shouldn’t have any excuses. Wonder who’ll we’ll go with in the centre, don’t think Ramsey-Elneny cut it against better sides.

I fully expect us to win comfortably. It would be such an Arsenal thing to do.

Biggest game of the season this. The fight for fourth place is on!

I can’t wait.

All I care about is avoiding the qualifiers for CL at the start of next season.

I think we’ll get what we need from this match to ensure we don’t have the CL qualifiers. Whether we’ll win or not is another story but I don’t see us losing this…Leicester have won the title with games to spare and we’re still scrapping for 4th – the eternal cycle goes on.

We have a pretty good record against them recently but don’t see the players being up for the match tbh. They’ve completely checked out of the season..If iwobi starts again it’ll be a joke. Welbeck has to come back in even though he’s ****ing **** from the start…Our attack really is a disgrace, we could easily spend 100m fixing that section alone

I agree. We need pace and power against City because there will be space behind to exploit. Giroud is more suited to teams that sit deep, as long a there is a player out wide to stretch them.

A draw would just about secure 3rd I think, but there’s still a chance to finish ahead of Spurs so a win would be nice.

this game is to avoid CL playoff next season so at least let finish 3rd and avoid the CL playoffs.

Suspect we’re going to lose to a utterly shambolic man city team, probably to a bony hattrick or something.

This could be a decent match because I doubt City is going to defend so fiercely against us like anyone sensible would do.

As long as there is a slight possibility we can eventually finish above Spurs then I’ll be watching…Don’t care about our season now, I’m watching more for my hate of Tottenham. Would be hilarious to still finish above them, despite it being there best season in 20 years!

We need a point to guarantee CL group stages, so I reckon we’ll lose 4-0. We’re ****ing ****.

It is Pellegrini’s final home game as City manager…There will be motivation to send him off on a high even if they are eliminated from the UCL tonight. Then add on the fact three points will assure them of top 4 as their GD is superior to ours, United and West Ham…Our away record since that WBA cluster-**** has been poor. It’s been our strength in recent seasons but this year it’s not been good enough. This may be the pessimist in me but I can sense a hiding coming our way.

I’d rather see City than Man U in the CL and winning will not only open the door for West Ham but Man U too. Expect another lethargic performance from a team and manager still feeling sorry for themselves.

I don’t give two ****s about if we come in 2nd in world where Leicester won the league. Next year its city or chelsea back on top withpool and united chasing because they will have competent managers.

Tubs of Vaseline are needed for this.

If Giroud and Ramsey starts this im gonna cut my left ball of.

They didn’t even show up to night. They will be on their a game against us.

I don’t see us winning this.

Well if City is going to play like yesterday we should have a good chance.. They were ****ing dreadful.. But then again, we’re pretty bad ourselves..

The sad thing is that I don’t really care that much..

Toure will surely be dropped for this? Was strolling for most of the game yesterday.

I reckon City will go hard for the first half hour and if things aren’t going their way they’ll give up the ghost .

We really should win. City look terrible but we could easily lose. Such a manic team.

Pellegrini’s record against Wenger gives me hope for this one

Yaya could be as lazy as turtle is slow and we still will make him look like a world class.

City will beat us. No doubt about it.

I actually think they were saving themselves for RM (although, they didn’t turn up on the night). Now that they’re out of the CL, I reckon they’ll try to get 3rd place.

This game has become a lot trickier now Citeh have been eliminated from the CL. As it’s their only route to the CL next season, and with Yanited having a game in hand, they’re in serious trouble…We’ve got a really good record against Citeh, and if we turn up we’ll win. They lost Vincent Kompany against Madrid which’ll be a big blow. Mangala is dreadful.

This gives Gabriel a chance to prove he can go away from home and do it against a top striker in Aguero. Expecting a huge performance.

Reckon we will bottle it, been absolute ****e for ages.

Nope… We are losing this one. Abandoned any hope of us winning any of our games a while ago.

We’re too crap to capitalise on City dropping points, we are poor away from home and have 2 tough ones at Norwich fighting relegation and the last ever game at Upton Park. I’d actually say that West Ham are dark horses to steal 4th…But yeah right now we are reliant on Arsenal. Desperation is grim.

If City play like they did on Wednesday then all we need is a slightly up for it Alexis,Welbeck and Özil and a relatively half-decent defensive performance and I’m confident. City seem to just be waiting for Pep now, their players have given up on this season, they did quite a while back tbf.

Like the SUCKA I am, I’ll be watching & hoping for a win.

At last City have trophy to show for their gash year. They’re however hampered by injuries t Silva, Kompany and a few others. are out. Expect some kind of draw in this which will enable us to keep 3rd but blow our chances to celebrate St. Totteringham’s

We should win this. They folded spinelessly v Real, not even having a square go when a late equaliser would have put them through.

What they did in Madrid, when going down by the odd goal, will sadly have no bearing on the loss we are about to be dealt up there. Besides, who are we to talk about folding and not threatening an opponents goal?

They’ve been folding all year , we don’t fold, we just don’t threaten .

Two pathetic teams.

Thread should be changed to End of season disaster. We are going to be shambles.
