open letter from the osc

I am sure you will have seen in the media details of the agreement between City and United to only provide 3,000 tickets to away Supporters for the league Cup Semi Finals

To say we (The OSC) are disappointed is an understatement.

We have read the reasons for the decision but do not agree and are also dismayed that no consultation with either The OSC, City Matters, 1894 or any other Supporters Group took place. We are also aware that Manchester United did not consult with their Supporters Groups either

These Cup Ties are opportunities for fans (of both sides) to get the chance to a ticket for an away Derby. Something a large number of fans never get the opportunity to do. That opportunity has now been taken away from them

In our view reducing the number of tickets allocated to away fans only increases the possibility of trouble in home areas where away fans will now sit.

The ramifications of this decision go beyond limiting tickets.

We aslo have great concern that this sets a marker down for future high category games in Cup Competitions and we will certainly be discussing this with the Club at the earliest opportunity

It is fair to say that we feel the relationship between the Club and Fans is maybe not quite what we thought it was, only time will tell.

I saw on the City Tickets Face Value group on Facebook that someone had grassed a fan up for selling a ticket at face value to another blue using the group. City have now banned the season ticket holder until further notice.

Embarrassing from the club.

Came on to say this myself. It’s piss poor. As someone who relies on that group to get to games when I come over it’s worrying. Lord knows the club itself didn’t wanna help me last time
Tracking back is overrated.
