Bollocks. Barnes hit a shot then ran into Ederson who had made himself big to block the shot. If Barnes had actually got the shot on target then you'd only be talking about and excellent save from Ederson.

How is this a free kick to spuds when Alli was offside? Surely the offside is the original offence and should be called as such, rendering the subsequent foul irrelevant

Another flaw in the system. The offside only comes into play if the var decides its a penalty. Absolute farce.
