Throw Everton/Arteta into the mix, if he was to get the job, I suggest Peps last season is this one.

Yep, unnecessary too, he was going nowhere, daft challenge.

I said at the time that it was a penalty but the decision wouldn't be changed by VAR just like the midweek game where Van Dyke did exactly the same.

They're seriously taking the piss.

I think they took the piss last season also, but we had the hunger to prove them wrong. Last season we fought the system and even bent like it was, we still managed to pull it together.
This season it's like we gave up.

The last 2seasons have taken their toll, not only was it the PL but we sometimes forget there's major Championship's in between.

With a fully fit squad we'd be a force but losing so many to injury, especially the quality back-ups, makes it very difficult when you have other factors at play.

Pep said 'Things out of our control', very specific if you ask me. Good to see the club are seeing it the same as the rest of the none red supporting fans.

Why are there so many posts on this? Are you suggesting Pep is a coward that hasn't got the backbone for a fight?

Interesting perspective to take against a backdrop of 198 points and numerous trophies.

But to lay the majority of our woes at the door of VAR/cheating is just not correct.

I blame a combination of:

VAR/Cheating.
Injuries to key players.
Loss of leaders from the squad.
Failure to buy a CB in the summer.
Wear and tear from last 2 seasons.
Related to the above, players now in erratic form, good one day shite the next, inconsistency.
Left back position 4 years on still a problem.

Too many mistakes too often by the manager.

Interesting statement. Considering the former, how the hell does the latter deal with it?

I just get that feeling mate, with Pep it is all or nothing or has been, he will never be sacked and insists he never breaks a contract, what he has done is amazing, I have been at pretty much most games, I love the guy. But he does not lose to he sides we have if things are right. Arteta being linked with his first managers job time and time again, is also not part of the usual Pep period. He is master of his own destiny. I hope he stays for 10 years I just don't see it, I see we are in the last bit, now sadly IMO.
