Great quick spot from De Courtois and typical surge and pass from Tintin. I expect Brazil will go through to the semi final though.

What a wild game that was...or just one half of football.

Great second half.
First side to come back from 2-0 down in a World Cup game to win since Germany in 1970

Never write him off , absolutely brilliant contra attack and pass from Tintin.
Told you they don’t look like a united team.
That 3rd goal was pure City.

Wild is the wrong word. Attractive, entertaining, interesting , absorbing, yes. However Wild , no !
Wild means out of control and i don‘t think the japanese were out of control when they scored two very good goals.
A great game to watch , neutral or not.

Hah...well wild in the sense of how it changed rapidly and excitement generated. The game was very open on both ends. Also Japan could have won it a few times as well other than last ditch defending or big saves. Japan keeper made that double save as well.
Emotionally wild is really the point.

As American slang you just described what someone over here might call a wild game.

Since when has the word 'Wild' ever been slang ?

I meant the non-traditional meaning of the word. You said that the Belgium/Japan game wouldn’t be described as wild. I’m just stating over here that’s exactly how it’s being described.

Not convinced at all by Martinez. I know his subs won the match but he is so average as a manager

And Courtois. Great awareness and attitude to get the play on so quickly in the last minute of the game.

Are them wing backs the best Belgium have got? If they are i wouldn't be playing three at the back, they're not good enough at all.
Any system that lends itself to Witsel being more advanced than DeBruyne is also not worth shit. Horrible to watch DeBruyne so restricted, a crime against football.

Said as much last night regarding the wing backs. They really are not good enough for that system.

Their fullbacks are even worse though.
What were the Japanese thinking at that last corner? So naive.

the problem is that Belgium have no left back but have a bunch of CBs. Wilmots used to play Vertonghen at LB and Alderweireld at RB. now though Martinez is using a left-winger in Carrasco as a wingback. Munier is a solid RB though.
the problem with this system is that it means KDB is dropped so deep and basically nullifies him.
I'm not really a City fan. I'm just here for attention.
