IS Bobby Mancini THE MAN?

I've thought that his tactics and subs have been all wrong for the last 2 games and that if wasn't for the referee (and bad defending), we'd have lost against the scum, which we did against the Toffees. Saying that, with the team he has had to pick from, he has done well.

The jury's still out for me I'm afraid.

That's exactly how I feel, but I got sniding comments left and underlying accusations of having an agenda when I said so.

The jury is definitely out on the man and I hope to God he comes through, starting with Wed night.

Not sure who you are trying to convince here. Yourself or everyone else. To be honest I don't see the issue. I thought Hughes had the leadership and management skills of David Brent and said so. If you think Mancini is not the man to take us forward then say so. If you are wrong then you have the consolation we are doing well and if you are right then you have the consolation of - well being right. But at the moment you protest far too much.

Well Everton was bad because no one turned up and the derby was...actually no that was awesome

I suspect that a lot of people are uneasy about Mancini especially when it comes to tactics, formations and 'negative' (ie Italian) attitude etc. He does like playing around with players and formations and is happy to roll the dice and gamble I mean how many would have thought Benjani or Garrido would get a look in or he would start Boyata alongside Kompany at the heart of the defence in his first derby match and a semi final at that. I bet taggart was licking his lips seeing that lineup. Yet not only did we win we actually came from behind and when was the last time we did that in a derby?

Personally I like what I see with Mancini and whilst it is far too soon to judge whether he will lead us to the promised land I already love the guy!

I agree with mister Vanishing Point, I find it hard to understand what's your point here. Lot of words without actually saying anything. 'I am behind him BUT....'. You should have balls to show your true colours and not use some weird undertones and act like some sort of victim. We already got DHTP to do that.

Then again, if you can't enjoy Derby win then I don't know what could help you.

I wouldn't call the carling cup on its own a good place to start... it'd be nice for supporters but reaching the top four is far more important if we are to attract the best players in the world.

Also, I said emulating Chelsea may be good enough for some, but I want to emulate United and they are MILES apart in terms of dominance and United have had more success since Abramovich took over... it didn't need to be that way, if they'd have just left Jose do his job... unfotunately, instability normally results in staggered success, rather than consistant success.

On the whole I think Baconface is a once in a lifetime event and a manager like that will not happen again.Someone who is more successful maybe but someone in the job for that long,I dont think it will happen again.
And winning the CC after so many years of drought would be the start of a journey that hopefully will take us to the top.
And for me I am thinking that maybe getting into the CL is not the right way to go and we need the experience and education of the Europa league to start our journey.
Mancini has already failed when it comes to the CL and for me I like the EL and think it is a good competition. I would love for us to win it and I think it will give our young players like Stevie,Nedum,Micah,Vlad a good education as to what Euro comp is about and hopefully they will be coming to their peak when we qualify.
If we make it next year I'd be happy but suprised if we made it past the group stages through lack of experience and think both the team and manager need to learn more before we start trying to mix it with the big boys with no experience.
I may be wrong and we can buy players the quality that is requirred but if we are to do it with the squad we have now then I think the CC and Europa league is the way to go.
