Other Cup matches

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

It's been a funny old day in the FA Cup.

At least Sparky Spews' gang got turned over by Wolves and West Brom lost as well, to Derby - both at home - so it didn't turn out all bad.

Don't know what to make of Everton losing at home to Leicester, apart from the fact that Mike 'Porky' Parry, one of the biggest mouths at Talkspite, will be gutted.

BT is nauseating.

Rooney tribute video followed by the panel lashing out at the media (hmmm?) for the unfair treatment of the cunt.

That presenter is a fucking rag too.

I remember him saying "As much as it pains us to say it, city were good"

Or something to that effect.

The hypocrisy was unbelievable. The same pundits who are constantly slagging us off are now criticising the media for knocking players. You couldn't make it up! What a joke of a broadcaster. Just when I thought they couldn't get any worse they sink to a new low. Wankers

Anybody watching MotD? I'm hoping that the opening sequence wasn't our only showing.

Cardiff and Fulham just kicked off on Beeb Wales. So empty it looks like it's being played behind closed doors

I'm not a regular at football matches unfortunately as I live too far away from the Etihad in South Wales. It strikes me that the FA Cup seems to have really diminished in terms of fan priority. I assume the pricing is the same for league games. Why on earth don't clubs slash prices for cup games to get full houses instead of half empty stadiums and no atmosphere. Just a thought !

Hull had 6000 or so in for an all PL cup tie yesterday. Shameful

It is but at least they had an excuse, boycotting the game due to their lack of trust with the owners.

Dippers v Plymouth on now and I'm sure we got hammered by the media for playing a youngish side against Chelsea. What's the difference with what the Dippers are doing today?

Fair play to Klopp though, they're in his squad so he should be able to pick who he wants, just like any other manager.

Was just thinking the same thing
Hairy muff for picking who he wants
But we wouldn't be afforded such luxuries
Luv for the dippers to get turned over today though

MacPointy with his usual totally negative commentary.

Yes, we know, Argyle are standing 5 yards too far off. Once is enough, not 200 times

Fair enough for Hull. Didn't know it was a protest.

Imagine the excuse the pundits came up with was they have a League Cup Semi in the week. They no doubt conveniently forgot we were in Russia a couple of days later for a CL game

Mcpointy moaning Plymouth aren't doing enough. Well, cuntichops, they are still level after half an hour. Seems to me their game-plan is no different to that of the dippers against us a couple of weeks ago.

I'm just wondering what MacPointy would be saying about us in the Dippers position?

Instead of constantly criticising Argyle he'd be shouting about City needing to move the ball faster

He'd still be complaining about us disrespecting the cup.

So, the dippers with twenty minutes to go are still 0-0 against a League 2 side, at home. And still all the commentators are banging on about is how lacklustre and unadventurous Plymouth have been. It's up to the dippers to score, something they haven't really looked like doing. The Plymouth goalie has barely had a save to make all things considered

They've mentioned Plymouths really good away record about four times now. Getting the excuses ready
