Does that mean stones is definitely coming as our number 24
Where's Vinny and Mangler? Strange!?
this is just the squad for the play off games
if, sorry when we qualify we can submit a revised squad
no point in adding vinnie as he's currently injured. for a change
Cheers

So Sky lied through its teeth. Salutary lesson.
Any reports started with "sky sources understand" are apparently allowed to be reported regardless of actual facts.

I'm waiting for the press to try and twist the fee to make out we paid more for him than the Rags did for Pogba!!

Do you not think it might be deliberate?
Turn all eyes this way then make it official 15 minutes later.
Sweep the RAGS right off the news.

Nice to see City playing the media game by the rules they use, when it suits us.

They will be adding the petrol money it cost him to come for his medical.

I don't think Stones news will keep Pogba anywhere away from the headlines.
We'd have loved this done a fortnight ago but they had to decide Nay to Bony and Nasri and we had to buckle to closer to 50m. I'm not arsed by the figure. Can the lad play in the CL qualifier? He'll go straight into the side for Sunday surely. He and the Fern-that-Matters as our CB combo please.
Cheers

Great another defender who can't defend for silly money. He's not even worth 25 million. 'He'll come good' 'he's only young' 'pep will teach him'
Still here.

Some seem to think he is crap, fair enough everyone is entitled to their view, but the two guys who are alleged to be the best two managers in the world wanted him. Maureen last year and Pep this.
We will see.

I don't agree mate. i think he is a good defender and it's plain to see he is comfortable on the ball. But it's also obvious that he tends to basically fuck about too much near his own area.
Whether that is because he was poorly taught by Martinez or whather it will actually get worse under Pep remains to be seen, so we must keep an open mind.
Just can't see Pep saying 'stick the fuckin thing in row Z' somehow!

The fuckin about near his own area bit could have been because when he looked up he saw Gibson giving him an option and thought otherwise. If he looks up now and sees Fern 1 I think it will be a different story.

Shocked to see so much hate from our own aimed at Stones.
Forget the fee, forget his previous season, forget what we know about traditional defending, traditional CB's. Our team is not like any other city team any of us has watched before, this is now a Pep team. People need to wrap there heads round how huge and sweeping the changes are that are happening at City. The football Pep wants is in another universe to what we have seen up to now and will evolve week on week. Pep is totally different in how he wants players to play, what wants players to do. I've no doubt Stones will utterly thrive under Pep.
I have no clue as to why so many are turned off to this signing. This is probably the most crucial signing for our season, we couldn't play Pep's system without a ball playing CB. This was utterly vital.

How are you privy to the negotiations? Were you there? How do you know how much Everton asked for?
