I would also guess that Umbro will have something to say about it.

Sick of this shit we look like fools.
He should be shot. I mean fancy not thinking of such important matters as what he is wearing, terrible...
i know he's gone through something terrible but am sure he has something else in his wardrobe than a Arsenal shirt? or am i being a bit harsh?
I really doubt he gave it much thought, probably hasn't been back to Togo that much since he played for them. Utterly childish overreaction from the usual suspects on here.

He's away, he probably had one lying around and he threw it on. I wore a fucking horrendous jumper I bought a few years ago because it was cold and I saw it at the bottom of my wardrobe, I realised I looked like a twat but I wore it anyway. Doesn't mean I'm gonna start wearing it on a regular basis.
With all due respect mate, there's a WORLD of difference between your jumper and the damaging PR involved in advertising your old employer on global TV.

Mate if you got paid 120k a week you should make sure you wear the right fucking kit. No argument!
You dont see Sky presenters wearing BBC shirts and vice versa.
120k a WEEK. It's a piss take to the fans that idolise him and help pay his wages.

not the point if it was just lying around we pay him to play for us that means he is representing us even if he is in togo or where ever his is.

What are you talking about - you're the ultimate usual suspect if ever there was one.
You've been over reacting to Platini and shoving it down everyone's throat for months now. You're the biggest child on the site. I'm not sure what your stance on Garry Cook's slip of the tongue was, but I hope it was brushed off the same, because this is far bigger.

You're spot on there. What a fool. It is just a very stupid gesture. If you work for a company and are on a buisness trip (where you have to speak in public), you don't wear some other companies shirts, its that simple.

OK, granted it wasn't the best choice he's ever made, but is it really worth people getting worked up over?
One of the posters above claiming it's burst the bubble? Fucking hell, this is probably the most exciting time of my 27 years supporting City, I'm certainly not going to let Ade's wardrobe choice 'burst my bubble'.
a) I think he's got more important things to worry about than his fucking dress sense, b) I think that he made his feelings towards Arsenal quite clear after he scored against them, he's hardly angling for a move back is he.

Mate you're the third person that's said that like he wore an old checked shirt or something...
Its a massive massive mistake and people of his stature are prepped before TV interviews and trained to point where they know the only thing they shouldn't do is misrepresent the people who pay you.
I know he has had a terrible ordeal a few days ago, but the only thing he could have worn that would have been worse would be a united jersey.
Actually, compare it to Tevez wearing his old jersey...

Whilst i understand your point and i sympathise with Adebayors situation I find it hard to belive that interview took place with out ANYONE noticing the arsenal badge on that shirt.
Like someone said earlier, what would people say if Tevez gave a interview at the world cup wearing a fucking rag shirt?

I may seem to be over reacting, but anyone who knows me knows my biggest hate is anyone who puts the club in a bad light, particularly in the press.
This is one of those occassions, as is evident by the amount of texts I'm getting from my rag mates, even if the bloke suffered a tragedy a few days ago.
And that's before it hits the papers tomorrow...

I agree completly. It is one thing if a player wears a kit from a team they played for when they were a lad, or a foreign club they played for, but to wear the kit of a direct rival of a team you left 6 months ago is just stuipid. It was clearly a sit down interview by the picture so it wasn't like they spotted him on the street and asked him some questions, he knew he was getting interviewed.

If he didn't have another top he should have gone bare chest the fuckin pussy!! I think it shows how commited he is to City.
I don't know why Fowler just didn't wear his old Everton kit while he was being interviewed playing for Liverpool!

Of course it's not bigger than Cook constantly making a tit of himself when he opens his mouth in public, don't be silly. Cook is a senior executive not a footballer in mourning. And the Platini situation is grown up stuff - the future of the club as a business and major threats to it, unlike the childish rubbish you get bogged down with following "the leader" like a demented sheep. And it is YOU who are very much one of the usual suspects after months and months of your daft hysterical attacks on anyone who dared mildly criticise your "messiah." You really should grow the fuck up.

Was it this seasons sports wear, or as he stole it from gift aid, not paid well enough to wear the latest shirt. Joking apart bad mistake to make Ade, and nobody gets the point. I'm sure the PR department at the club will get him to make a statement.

Hey Socs -
"Boo hoo Platini's gonna get us".... but only if hughes is in charge, no? Have I got that right?
You're full of shit and the sooner you give your third or fourth "Farewell everyone, I'm leaving" speech the better.
Fucking wimp.

Depends if he is in the back of beyond having recently been shot at. If so I could brush it off. Hey my staff bought me a red coloured Tevez mug for Christmas as a joke - didn't sack anyone...
