Add me to those apologising - the guy is a legend for that penalty shoot out (and that early save which was very important)

I wasn't one of those spouting bile at him for last week but I've never had confidence in him. With our misfiring attackers, that bloke won us the game with the origi header then the pens.
Legendary performance, he can take that as a career highlight today.
Not being smug, but I thought Pellers made the right choice. Willy was really quite good in the last games before the Chelsea game. That one was a stinker, but he showed quality as well with a couple of quality saves. I just thought it would have been too cruel benching him after one bad game after actually playing really well.

Pellegrini is probably due an apology or two from a few folks to be honest.

Remiss of me not to include Pellegrini in the title. Amended accordingly.
What a game and Pellegrini got it spot on, not just the goalie, but the team selection and in the two preceding games as well. But for unusual wayward finishing from Kun and Sterling we'd have won the game comfortably. Three trophies already on the sideboard in three years and the chance of two more. Brilliant
I did not want him to play and was quite annoyed when I saw the team. However it worked, such are the fine margins in football. Large slice of humble pie here.
