Feeling a lot better seeing Delph and Fern1 in the middle.

Who'd have though sterling would look a weak link in summer. Hope he steps up today.

I'm glad yaya appears to be in position I reckon he should be in every single time he plays.

However I'm disappointed kelechi isn't starting ahead of him. What does the lad have to do to be given a decent chance.

Not surprised with the lineup. Like it too, except for Yaya of course.

Guess Nacho and Navas will be in vs Villa

REALLY HAPPY that Zabba starts, not Baccari. This will make us A LOT more dangerous.

I was hoping for Nachos for starters but not surprised really.

Hope Yaya can influence the game from that no.10 spot, I'm not convinced about that. He's at his best as deep lying playmaker and his runs are dangerous when they start from the deep. Now I'm afraid their def.mid will have him for breakfast.

The side is good enough to beat Everton nine times out of ten. Let's see if they are really up for it as you can bet your ass Everton will be. Anything less than the effort Everton put in and we will be punished. Match them for effort and attitude and we will win and be on our way to Wembley

You describe Yaya through blue tinted specs. He hasn't been good at what you describe for a long time.

Surprised so many are happy with that midfield, were we not watching at Goodison when we played the same three? Yaya is useless with his back to goal, I'm hoping he's not playing advanced.

I don't have a problem with Yaya as a no 10 here. We have Delph and Fern1 and Navas to come on to test tired defenders if needed. They will probably test silva, Clichy and MDM with Deulofeu.

Useless? You jest, surely. He has less work to do defensively. Isn't that where he many say he should play?

I think Yaya has influenced games plenty in attack from deep this season, he's just been burnt and left is vulnerable in defence playing there.

I guess some want us to play more of a 4-5-1 with Yaya deep.

Yay a will be much more effective with Delph and Fernandinho playing alongside him. Looking for a strong performance 3-1 to City.

?

*thought

I look at our starting team and Raheem looks the weak link (if there is one).

Proper Everton wankfest on sky. Are they the home team.

Good team tonight. I had hoped for Nacho starting alongside Aguero but I had a feeling it wouldn't happen.
