Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Fuck me how terrible.
Hopefully we'll get Ade and maybe Toure as well back now.
"Like all bullies, they've just found out that there is a much bigger guy in town, someone who is richer and more powerful than their worst nightmare. And this smiling Arabic assassin is intent on stealing all the treasures they've nicked off everyone else, and pulverising them into commercial and footballing oblivion as he does so."

Looks as though they were driving down to Angola, kicked off in, or near the Congo according to sky news

Ade must come back after this at least, but i'd like to see toure back too. They've proved they can't keep them safe so they have gotta come home.

There was a report on Congo on Al Jazeera this afternoon. One of the rebel leaders was high as a kite, wearing a yellow wig and dancing with his machine gun....foooookin looney

Exactly no football match/tournament is worth putting peoples lives at risk they need to get them out of there now.

Reason: Joke removed. People might've found it offensive

There is no way that the tournament should proceed after this. For the sake of the players, coaches and their nearest and dearest they need to come home!

Fucking hell! This is fucking crazy.
Wasn't there a story that Oba Martins was shot at when he returned to Nigeria a few years back too?
I'm not very will up on African criminology, but can anyone really say that the World Cup will go ahead with no incidents which will endanger the lives of fans and/ or players?

I know your only having a laugh edge mate but this could of been true, luckily Ade is ok but others are injured and the driver is dead maybe you should of saved the joke on this occasion.

Carl, I know you're something of a voyager. Have you ever lived in South Africa for a period of time? Would you feel safe as a player or fan around the chosen venues?
I know we usually take the piss and have a laugh but I'm genuinely interested.
Cheers.

Honestly couldn't care less at this point, hope he is ok but there is no way he'll be in the correct mental state to play football and we shouldn't try and make him at the moment.
I would imagine that Togo will withdraw but if Ade wanted to spend time with his loved ones instead of heading straight back here I'd definitely understand
Absolutlely spot on.
