It's a shame it was called off, I read on OS that Goater was looking forward to a big semi. Pause.

I know alot of people would prefer to wait and go up in better conditions im just not a patient person so it's pissed me off is all.
If the game would have been on I would have not risked driving if the weather would have been like it has been today. I live in an area where I can not get out when the snow is heavy and have been to work for all of one day in the last three weeks due to either snow or ice on the road where I live.
This is not me not loving City enough its me being sensible and putting my partners and my safety first. I think you will find that I am not the only one on here who would have made that decision.
Yeah, but him and his mates would have made it, so your point is irrelevant.

ATTENDANCE WOULD HAVE BEEN 40000 CITY FANS...1000 SCUM FANS..AND 6000 SCUM FANS STUCK IN TRAFFIC NEAR WATFORD GAP.
THEY SAY SWEARING IS DUE TO A LIMITED VOCABULARY. I KNOW THOUSANDS OF WORDS, BUT I STILL PREFER "FUCK OFF" TO "GO AWAY"

So you would quite happily let 17000 other people miss out so you got to watch it? Now that's a minority.
I can see that the snowman someone has built outside holds more valid points than you do though so I'll stop this pointless verbal jousting now.

balls its not just me everyone of the 30,000 that could have made it would prefer it to still be on and the 17,000 would be the minority, if someone lives so far away they cant make a game then they shouldn't buy tickets but yeah stop because someone isnt just gonna say "oh sorry for having a diffrent fucking opinion then you i'll change my mind now so you feel better"

So, Ashton mate...you are pissed off because you are an impatient person.
Just about everyone on here is pissed off. My sympathies lie with guys like Zurich and others who have bought plane tickets, some of whom may lose a lot of money.
Did it cross your mind to possibly try and deal with your impatience and work out a way of controlling your negative emotions?
I haven't noticed Zurich and other real victims of this throwing childish tantrums.
I KNOW THAT YOU BELIEVE THAT YOU UNDERSTOOD WHAT YOU THINK I WROTE, BUT I AM NOT SURE YOU REALISE THAT WHAT YOU READ IS NOT WHAT I MEANT

no, you give me a reason why the match shouldn't be played when the pitch is ok and most of the fans would make it there and i'll PM every person in this thread with an apolagy, anyway this whole thing started with my comment that didnt need any kind of reply as it was an angry rant so im not trying to debate anything anyway because its not gonna change anything

This, you fucking moron..................
The postponed Carling Cup semi final will now take place on Tuesday January 19th (home), and Wednesday January 27th (away).
It is with regret that the club can confirm that due to extreme weather conditions in the North West of England, the Carling Cup semi-final first leg tie against Manchester United scheduled has been postponed.
After discussions with the relevant parties including Greater Manchester Police, the Safety Advisory Committee, the Football League and Manchester United, the decision was unanimously reached that the game should be re-scheduled due to safety concerns ,particularly with regard to travel for supporters.
The North West Ambulance Service has declared the region as a major incident area and Greater Manchester Police are now responding to emergency calls only. The Met Office was also consulted and with projected temperatures of minus four tonight, due to drop to minus 6 on Wednesday evening, all parties agreed a postponement was the only solution. Knowing this now, it would be irresponsible to wait for tomorrow, when up to 47,000 fans would be at risk in addition to 900 staff many of whom would need to set off early, some from long distances, in advance of the decision to postpone.“It is a huge disappointment for everyone that we have had to postpone the tie but we have had the kind of harsh weather unseen in this part of the world for years and years,” explained City CEO Garry Cook.
“We pursued every avenue possible in search of a solution and whilst the pitch is still playable, what was paramount in our thinking was the safety of fans travelling to and from the game especially in light of the sub-zero temperature forecast for Wednesday night.
“In the end everyone who was part of the discussions was unanimous that it would have been too dangerous to play the game as scheduled.”
We apologise for the delay on this story reaching the site, but this was through technical difficulties not of our own making. The Premier League match at Stoke City will now be re-arranged.

Yeah Ashton, It really does suck for those guys. but they seem to be handling it without going over the top emotionally.
Being more emotional than the next guy and publically throwing a tantrum, does NOT however make you a better fan.

Can't they put it on just for ashton?
