If he sits on the bench or in the stands he leaves? Who does this dick head think he's representing?

And what about if Mang and Komany get injured next week? Are we still not allowed to sign a defender because this cock end says we made a promise? Sounds like bollocks to me

Probably lost in translation or poor english - I expect he means 'for the full season'.

I have sympathy with this situation for the player, and the agent is right to voice concerns. I suspect though that a situation has arisen that could not have been reasonably foreseen, and city have made an opportunistic transfer. I just hope we get Denayer out on a good loan, with the relationship hopefully not having been soured so much as he won't particularly want to come back.

End of the day though, he's just signed a new contract so ball is definitely in our court - we just need to make sure we do the right thing.

Which may result in Demichelis being shipped out

I think if we sign him we are just covering all our bases around defensive cover for four comps. I'm guessing Denayer starts ever domestic cup match. Alongside whomever he seems to fit best with really. Hopefully he would get a dozen matches or so that way. And a couple PL starts as injury cover cuz cunts are gonna get injuried.

He's a kid. He will be calm.

This is the first window where if we get Otamendi and KDB that we are nearly level with Madrid and Barca and Bayern in how we conduct our business. Hasn't happened yet but it would be an amazing summer if so and would reflect Khaldooooooons sentiments end of the season.

Cheers

I too took it to mean that if Otamendi comes in then Denayer will go on loan this season as Otamendi's arrival will basically mean Denayer wont play

No brainer for me and an area where I would say all Blues were concerned.

Bang on.
Its a very astute signing, tis a long season ahead.

There's also the thought that he could cover as a CM with his athleticism, and I'm sure he could do a cracking job.

I was thinking that, handles the ball well at his feet, quite quick, eye for a pass. I'm thinking he's going to be our new Demi.

In the circumstances we owe it to Denayer to get a really good loan berth hopefully in the Premiership.

Whoever is making those suggestions is an idiot - like the same person who suggested Mangala would be going the other way on loan. Pellegrini stood by him last season and allowed him to play himself into familiarity with the league, he was a permanent feature in the team by the end of the season. Mangala was also involved in the most wins from games started out of all our defenders (in the league at the very least) so those suggestions don't stand up to the facts.

Hart
Sagna--Kompany--Mangala--Kolarov
Otamendi--Fernandinho
Silva--Yaya--Sterling
Aguero

That's a CL lineup right there.

That'll be Arsene Whenger. He'll post it in the FFP thread.

The lass across the street confirmed it on twitter, no photo though. Still, good enough for me.

Wasn't Demi also named in the Team of the Year when we signed him?

Yes. And I think he's more likely to become a City coach than to get shipped out. Guys a fucking pro. You want him around. Perfect mentor for Denayer imho.

Cheers
