I'm pretty certain we wouldn't send him if he wasn't gonna be first choice. They have power in this kinda situation thankfully.

They can hardly write: "Angelino will get straight into the team, as the two current left backs are shitter than Michael Frontzeck on a bad day." He'll play.

Not seen much of Vasi but I've seen both Tattum & Smith Brown play left back.

I was told a few months back that Vasi was to be released. Then he played a few times and even looked half decent. Smith Brown for me.

I wouldn't worry about him playing. This is not a normal loan; City want Angelino to progress so he'll be given the opportunity to do so.

So he'll be playing with Pirlo now too apparently. Pirlo, Mix, Lampard, Villa all as team mates. Iraola's meant to be a decent player too.

He's joining a pretty decent team here, one on the up as well. They've recently found some form by all accounts. Gonna be a fun little move this one.

Or not as Pirlo is now saying he isn't off to NYC

Love these quotes from Paddy V on Angelino.

Great stuff. Even if he is raw around the ages, he's an incredibly talented and intelligent footballer and his attitude is exceptional. He'll clearly get a chance at some point if he's valued that highly. Maffeo definitely will for the same reason...

So what...there's at least 5 kids who will get chances over the next year or two? There will be more. It's so fucking exciting.

Looks more like a young head on old shoulders in that pic, but I take your point.

Just subbed on for his debut. Looks decent so far, although Giovinco should have 5 goals right now

It was live on SKY - he played the second half. I know the US standard is a bit pants, but I must say I was quite impressed with him, having criticised him against Chelsea in the Youth Cup. All good going forward though, I'm not sure if he'll actually end up a left midfielder.

There is hope yet.

Excellent coverage there cheers TS.

Very comfortable indeed for a debut. What was great to see was all the players consently giving the ball to him, so their trust in a debutant player says it all. I've seen many a debut where a young lad just doesn't get the ball given to him. As stated before, this is a good step up for the lad and he'll get good time playing MAN Football

Wow, that pitch really is ridiculously narrow. Can't be easy for a wide player like Angelino. He has no room what so ever, to go around his defender.

He looks completely comfortable at this level. The loan will do him nothing but good. It would be great if he had a final growth spurt and put on a couple of inches. Can absolutely see him succeeding in the first team in due course.
