He's Italy's version of Balague. Utterly full of shit, he's a journalist not an employee of BeIN sports
Thanks . Balague now tweeting the story is completely untrue whilst the Palmeri bloke is tweeting City approached Guardiola twice in the last few months , the second time 2 weeks ago . Might be bollocks or there might be something in it as now a few journo,s tweeting stuff .
Palmeri & Bollockegue are, I believe, both complete twats. Probably best to ignore both even in a rumour mongering thread.

Palmeri especially is a right cunt.
He makes literally Thousands of tweets/rumours about 'talks' between different clubs & players here and there and when finally one of them happens he bangs on about it "as I tweeted before, this player signs for that club"
It's the same if I made a list of thousand players playing in Europe and said City are signing this bloke. One of them would happen and TA DAA! I told you so
Ted Hughes wrote:There's actually nothing strange about the timing of the announcement. If some random bloke who has a poor record tweets something, of course Richard Keyes & Co are not just going to broadcast it as fact. Someone will start asking around. If they then find a source they trust, telling them they can run with it, then they broadcast it. All that shows is that Keyes is at least trying to behave like a proper journalist.
As for comments about it being 'strange' Didi Hamman & Lothar Matteus 'waited' before backing the stories; they were on a tv show, so contacted their sources ( presumably Bayern Munich) & confirmed on that show, that they have been told talks are taking place.
Imo this points to someone at Bayern leaking the story in the first place. Whether it's true or malicious or designed to sway the Bayern board into a decision, who knows, but I recon it's come from their end.

Balague is a personal friend of Pep. He says it is untrue.
Sounds to me that Bayern have leaked this story and want rid of Pep.

In all honesty, he seems very non-committal about it on screen. At first he talked up the source as having reason to believe the information was true, but even so they are certainly not talking about it as fact, just speculation and the story has changed a few times since yesterday when it was first mentioned from a 'agreement' to now simply being 'advanced talks' (so if they had reason to believe an agreement was in place, why backtrack if their source was so good?).
In all honesty, given the season City and Bayern have both had, and the off-field issues for Guardiola, I think we can all safely assume that talks are or have taken place, so I'm not sure it's even a surprise other than perhaps to City fans who are getting deja-vu over potential shit treatment of another manager.
The big conversation amongst the pundits (Gray, Keegan, Zola) is more about the implications if its true.
Moonchesteri - Richard Keyes is the hairy ex-Sky Sports anchorman who was thrown out of Sky along with Andy Gray for their sexist behaviour a couple of years ago. They are now doing the same job at BeIN Sports.

The dissing of Pep has already begun and he's not even landed at Ringway yet. The likes of Mourinho and van Gaal must be hoping this is a bad dream.
