Someone on Twitter posted a few hours ago saying pep had agreed to join city, and Bein sports were the source
I've been watching bein sports all day, and this appears to be bullshit. Nothing was reported on bein sports until over a 2 hours from the original tweet by someone called 'Bayern & Germany'
Keyes talked about the 'rumours from Twitter' at half time, saying that 'apparently the source is bein sports', effectively saying that if it was from bein sports, Keyes and Gray appeared to knew nothing about it, which would be a bit odd
I think bein sports are now simply repeating the rumour, but there seems to be absolutely no evidence that he original tweet by Munich & Germany has any foundation at all.

Fair enough.

The 'Munich & Germany' Twitter user apparently stated as fact that Benatia had signed for city last summer. Appears to be a wum.
Will see if anything else is said now at full time.....but bein certainly aren't running with this story as big news
My first thought was rags trying to destabilise us for the last few games, perhaps I'm too cynical

I just don't know how well players would play for a manager that they know is leaving an entire season in advance?
Actually, scratch that- I'm pretty sure the Bayern players knew their manager was leaving before the season started and they won the treble!
Maybe theyu upped their game wanting to be part of the pep era?

Balague is rubbishing the story as being completely made up.
Although he said the same about Robinho coming to city too

And Pep going to Bayern I think. And we were signing Falcao.
twosips wrote:I think people often overlook how important someone like Pep could be for us in terms of worldwide profile. He's a superstar. Pure box office in terms of management - only Mourinho matches that. The Messi and Ronaldo of the management world, profile wise that is. Immediately the quality of players we could possibly buy goes up a notch. Pellegrini and Mancini are not the same level. Even if Pep's potential reign at City wasn't that great, we'd still benefit in many ways. We wouldn't get that same aura with Klopp or Simeone. Just worth considering...
I still think it's bollocks though. I reckon he'll stay for a year.
