He went home to Brazil without permission from the club.
Not sure where that leaves us with the loan deal?

What a knob. Need to get rid of asap.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

I had chosen to forget that he's still our player. How long does he have left on his contract?
I think it's time for a yard sale this summer to get rifd of him, Benji, Big Phil, et al. (there's of course the possibillity that Hull will already have bought them all ...).

we won't lose much on him, only a fraction of the reported fee will have been paid, most of it was based on performance. Reckon we will lose a hell of a lot more on RSC and Lescott than on Jo.

could well be. steve daley is easily the worst to date in my memory at least. taking an average inflation rate of 6% since his £1,437,500 move in 1979 (inflation was a bit wild between 79-81, calmer since), his scaled transfer value would be £8,256,269 in todays terms. or about half of what Jo cost.
so yeah, Jo looks pretty shit value.

Is there no way we can put him up for sale in this window? or do we have to wait untill his loan deal with Everton runs out.

Guys a knob - but would not be surprise to see Everton acting to trigger some 'clause' that allows them to send him back and get out of paying for the rest of the season

RPI worked back to Sept 79 was about 60, in July 09 it was 210 so £1437500 in Sept 79 was worth £5031000 by July 09. About what we paid for Jo before add-ons according to the CEO. Difference is that we'd easily get that for Jo if we sold him abroad. Allowing for inflation, we paid 4 times as much for Lescott as for Daley and almost as much for RSC. I think Jo and Steve Daley have a lot of competition...

£1.5m plus add-ons that can't possibly have kicked in and sold him for £1m. But used as a stick to beat Keegan with so don't let facts get in the way...

Exactly, remember him running down the touchline once as a sub, think that was the closest he got to first team action

seem to remember something about him supposedly being the best header of the ball ever at city!
just been on to his wiki and found this:
Whilst he was with Manchester City, he, along with players Daniel Van Buyten and Djamel Belmadi, were the victim of a theft by two bankers. In total, workers at the Co-operative Bank stole more than £350,000 from the accounts of the three players.

He's not shit, he's just playing in the wrong league. He should go to Spain. He'll do well there.
