Still no sign of this Everton home game then? Us being in the Carling Cup and them in Europa seems to leave no room at all yet!
I'm now quite convinced that we would've drawn to Stoke and Wolves if all things had stayed the same. Not really any good saying what if Hull/Bolton/Burnley/Scouse etc because we left ourselves open by attacking too much when leading, instead of adopting a solid defence-first policy. And by not concentrating 100% as per the new Mancini ethos. That was the way our team and tactics were at the time so it's past.
As we now see!!!
However when everything comes out in the wash a draw away to Birmingham may be seen as a good result.

I can't believe people are giving credit to the new manager for this. Do you not think it is the most basic thing in football ever and should never have to be taught or mentioned.
I can just imagine Mancini sayin "ok team you need to all concentrate all the time"
(stares at players for 30 seconds)
Players: "You know what gaffer, your right an we've never thought of it like that before, we're all gonna start concentrating now you've mentioned it"
I'll give Mancini credit on other things as mentioned in other threads but it baffles me how managers can get credit for things like this. I'm not mad, i'm just confused.

You think our players were concentrating 100% before? When we kept losing the lead? I dont.
And I put that in because one of the players said this morning that Mancini emphasises it in training over and over again. Like when Richards pissed about with it, fell over his own feet and got disposessed, nearly leading to a Wolves goal. Mancini suggested to him he didn't do it again, if you know what I mean.

Yeah Mancini might have bollocked him and told him to concentrate but does it really need saying?
Do you honestly think that any professional player doesn't concentrate throughout the game? Seems like you are saying that any mistake is attributed to lack of concentration, which I disagree with.

The Dropped Points League...updated
1...Chelsea....Dropped 15pts
2...Arsenal....Dropped 16pts
3...the rags...Dropped 17pts
4...CITY......Dropped 22pts
5...Spurs.....Dropped 23pts
6...Villa.......Dropped 25pts
7...L'Pool.....Dropped 27pts
8...Brum.....Dropped 28pts
The true picture is even better than 5th. If we beat Everton in our game in hand, the 4th place is ours.
Looking at the January fixtures, the next 2 rounds of games should present no problems to any of the top 8 clubs.
The following week (27th Jan), has Villa v Arsenal which could dump Villa 6pts behind us or bring Arsenal to within 3pts. Chelsea v Brum could see Brum 9pts below us.
On the w/end 30th/31st Jan: Brum v Spurs could see Brum out of the picture or Spurs 4pts below us. Villa travel to Fulham and that difficult game could see them 9pts below us. The big game for us that w/end is Arsenal v the rags, possibly bringing the rags within 2pts of us or Arsenal only level.
All conjecture but it'll be very interesting as long as we can take care of our own business. Maybe squeaky bum time for those above us.
I KNOW THAT YOU BELIEVE THAT YOU UNDERSTOOD WHAT YOU THINK I WROTE, BUT I AM NOT SURE YOU REALISE THAT WHAT YOU READ IS NOT WHAT I MEANT
