we might be suprised and they actually have somthing worthwhile to say?
if they are total knobs fuck em off
I have been on a couple of the scum fan sites over the last year or so - and I am afraid that you will be disappointed.
When I was a kid their fans knew something about football and able to debate (and whilst I know this is a generalisation) - but this generation seem to be simply know-nothing muppets - probably because they have been brought up on a long period of success - but frankly - if it is not about the scum they seem unable to partake - and if it is about the scum - well they can spout nothing beyond "...in SAF we trust..." - bet they only take a crap in the morning because he has said it is the right thing to do

How very inclusive of you all! Personally I come on here to talk about City and REALLY have no desire to talk with their fans.
Walmai is a quality poster but I doubt I'd welcome him on the forum for one of their rivals tbh, football is a passionate subject and the closer the rivalry the less likely you are to get reasoned arguments. In all likelihood every thread would turn into a slanging match in much the same way as all the pro/anti Hughes split did. I'd honestly see it as the beginning of the end for the forum

Im sure there would be plenty of lively banter if you let them on here, especially with the CC being so close.
Like has already been mentioned Walmai seems a top bloke and i like reading his posts. That Gooners fan Ian Wright is a good poster too but not seem him around for quite awhile.

There are intelligent scum fans (there are bound to be a few by the law of averages). Generally they're not the outspoken ones, and they're not the kind who'd register on here.
Letting them in will only lower the tone here, especially if one or two come back and do a better job with more knowledge of the place.

Yeah I'll second this. If they are capable of intelligent debate then I can't see why it wouldn't hurt. And obviously if they only discussed relavent topics.

I'm touched by the kind words, fellas. I tend to comment on the general stuff, have a go at the odd prediction and of course offer my two-pence worth on all things West Ham.
For the record, we have fans from Millwall, Spurs, Chelsea (out of the London teams), as well as fans from quite a few other areas on our site.
I suppose it comes down to the reason for wanting to post to begin with. I started on here because, as mentioned previously, one of my oldest friends is CIty and we've spent the last 20 years on and off visiting each other's grounds, when it makes sense to do so. As far as you can have a 'second team', City would be mine. I even saw three games in your 'not really here' season. The most memorable for me - in terms of atmosphere in t'Kippax - won't be recorded. Anyone who was there doesn't want reminding of a certain game in the cup against a team from Merseyside... Ouch, you took a beating that day.
On the other hand, I subscribed to a LFC one before the cup final, only to be slagged off for each and every post (Scousers, dontchya just....)
All forums are better the wider the range of (well-argued) opinions, Shirley? JIm actually makes a decent contribution to our site, even though he thinks its somehow cleverly abusive to call us an Essex club (we are one!)
If they're looking to join just to take the rise, then you can weed them out fairly quickly.

I am always interested to hear what opposition fans say. Like fans of all other clubs, we are myopic to some extent. I would welcome having a supporters from other clubs question our views.
However, be warned. A few filthy Rags joined Bluemoon and made a mess of the forum yesterday. Not sure what 'fun' they got out of knowing that a few mods and admin would be deleting a few threads. Pathetic when you realise that these posters gave themselves 'Blue' names and made several posts previous to the 'attack' so they could start threads. Sounds like too much effort to me. I could make hundreds of Rags foam at the mouth by typing in one word on one of their forums, although I would not do that because I have more interesting things to do, such as picking my ears.

walmai - as mentioned - you are capable of reasoned discussion - most of the scum fans are 'camp followers' rather than knowledgeable football fans - probably because they have lived in a rarefied atmosphere where the shallow types get attracted - thick as pig-shit would be my rather bigoted opinion of them

You will never get any sense out of a Rag but it may be worthwhile letting some on for a trial period just for a laugh. Can the mods please prefix all their usernames with something though? How about ' RAG-username ' ?
Or how about having a sticky 'new poster' thread which is the only thread they can post in until the mods see fit to let them loose?

Yup, I'm all for that.
Foul form I'm in today and all that.
Having said that, it'd be great to have one or two that can debate the finer points of our rise to the top without it being a slanging match. I've a couple of rag fans for mates and one of them can talk in depth about how we're on the rise and that he looks forward to the day we're both battling for all the honours.
