i reckon it's 24million with addons taken into account. i reckon its £20 million up front. also bare in mind wolves get 25% of the fee (5 million) that means we are really getting lescott for about 15million plus addons. i'd say that's quite fair when you look at it like that. Lescott is defo a £15 million player after all.

How are we getting him for £15mil??

Lescotts is a decent signing, not worth much more than £12mil in my book so £15mil would be bearable

Not too fussed about the £20-24M (or whatever) we will lose (peanuts) but rather the amount we will be giving to one of our main rivals - and it may be a little pessimistic, but I reckon that this season we will still be competing with the likes of Everton, Spuds and W Ham rather than the 'big four'.

I also think that Moyes has made himself look a bit of an arse through all this, whereas Hughes comes across as the guy who always knew he was going to get his man (in the end).

Why worry about the fee?

The money is menaingless to us in the bank. We need players on the pitch to win football matches, and everton wont be a rival to our aims of getting into the top 4.

As it is, how are they going to replace Lescott in a back 4 already missing the injured Jagielka?

I am more interested in what Lescott can bring to City.

Taken overall, City were a lightweight team last season who were easy to knock off the ball, but most of the signings are aggressive, powerful players who have transformed City's team. We will be a threat on the ground and in the air. With barry's crosses, and lescott in the team, we might get to see some set-piece goals

Spot on we have seriously weakened a rival (who are already under performing) by taking there best centre half. In the process we have seriously strengthend our own back line, I don't give a shit if we have steped on some scouse toes in the process this is what the big boys have been doing for years. IMO taking Lescott of them has also taken there top 6 place of them aswell, that's how highly I rate him.

We now have the best attack in the Prem
One of the strongest midfields in the Prem
And we now have a strong back 4 with the likes of Toure, Nedum and Lescott (Dunne aswell if he stays) all competing for a place, with Micah/ Zaba and Bridge out wide.

Trust me lads, we are in for a great season.

And to all the Everton fans out there upset at City taking one of their key player, consider this our little payback for Howard Kendall.

Whatever the price, it is ultimately about what he is worth to us and how big a role he can play in our journey to the top.
If he helps us win a trophy or two or three over the next few years. he will have paid us back in full financial terms.

Who remembers this goal he scored against us?

Great looping header over Hart, hope to see some of that from set plays. He scored 10 goals for Everton that season from the back.

That guy is an absolute bell end of the highest order. He racked up about 1500 posts in a month on bluemoon under the name Darker Shade Of Blue. Thinks he is hilarious but obsessed by us and that transfer is an understatement.

Well chuffed with Lescott. Great signing!! Toure and Lescott is a very classy CB pair! Are we going to see us scoring goals from corners now please?

Very very good signing. The obvious missing piece in starting line up.

I also own tenner to charity of Wonders choice!
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

You say you will cheer him all the way but The Worf image is a bit below the belt fella!! he is one of ours now and will have to deal with that shit from opposition fans, don't think we should be encouraging it.
Everton dippers was giving it loads of Worf shit on there forums yesterday as well as a lot of racist stuff about Saha and Jo, don't think we should be stooping to these levels, and not now he is / will be a city player.
Q. Which is your favourite goal? A. It has to be the second goal I scored during the last-ever Maine Road derby. I heard the fans singing a new song: "Who let the Goat out?" and I thought, "I'm having that one!" Eyal [Berkovic] placed a perfectly weighted pass into my stride. I held off two defenders and the ball bounced in front of me, allowing me to make a gentle half-volley over Barthez. It was my 100th goal for Man City and particularly satisfying to score against Man Utd.

Read on one of the Everton forums yesterday that Lescot would have broken a longest consecutive games played record if he had played on Wednesday, one of the reasons Golum Dropped him for the Europa game
