http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/footba ... -move.htmlMario Balotelli could swap Jose Mourinho for Roberto Mancini with Manchester City moveMario Balotelli is said to be seriously weighing up a move to Manchester City amid fears that he is falling out of Jose Mourinho's plans at Inter Milan.
New City boss Roberto Mancini nurtured Balotelli during their time together at the San Siro, handing him his debut as a 17-year-old two years ago.
The Italy Under 21 striker has seen his progress stall since Mourinho took over 18 months ago and has played just three matches from start to finish this season.

Manchester bound: Balotelli may join old boss Mancini at Eastlands
The imminent arrival of Macedonia international Goran Pandev on a free transfer from Lazio could push Balotelli further down the pecking order.
He is already behind Diego Milito and Samuel Eto'o and when in a similar situation last season, he was set for a six-month loan to West Ham United until club president Massimo Moratti blocked the deal.
Moratti is an admirer of his teenage talent and has already warned Mancini to keep his distance, but the oil tycoon is also trying to build bridges with Mourinho and will not dictate transfer policy to the Portuguese boss.

Super top talent but I remember Jose giving him hard time while back for being a lazy bastard in training.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

If, and that is if, mancini is actually in for him ... having managed him while at inter he would know all about it. If that's something that mancini is willing to put up with than I'd trust him. It's his decision in the end anyway.
If he is lazy, maybe mancini thinks bellamy would give him a swift kick in the ass and turn him round

oh I agree. Mancini brought him through the ranks there and I'm sure he will know how to handle him.

Would love to have him at City I rate the kid is going to be a superstar, did anyone see that free-kick he scored the other month?. Mancini will already know all about him aswell considering he took him to Inter.

Headcase. Doubt very much Mancini is after him, he's smarter than that but if he does sign & produces some of the antics & half-arsed performances he has for Inter, he'll get his hat nailed on by City fans & end up in a fight with Bellamy. Not the kind of character City fans usually accept. Not worth the gamble when things are going well. Plenty of better players around.

I think he's just another Daniel Sturridge, a lot of headlines in the tabloids, big time attitude and always look disinterested when I 've watched him, he seems to think he is too good to be at Inter Milan. In the U21 euro's he was even worse, mostly on the bench though, if I remember correctly. Would rather take Big Phil back than pay 10-15m£ and having to look after this lad, he seems a handful

genius comes at a cost ... there aren't many "superstars" who are perfectly grounded individuals.

He is undoubtably a talented young player, but has quite a few significant drawbacks. For one, he is a very irritable character, often picking up needless yellow cards for blatant petulant fouls and has been repeatedly criticized for stirring up opposition fans. As well, we do have a more than fair number of forwards and attacking midfield players, so the acquisition of another one would be almost a waste (even though money is not really a consideration anymore), unless we are shipping a few out.
If we can get him though, why not? The claim regularly is that he would like to leave Italy, especially because of the degree of vicious, racial abuse he has received (particularly from Juventus fans) in Serie A. Earlier this year at the Derby d"Italia (Inter vs. Juventus) the Juventus fans only highlighted their racism by unveiling a banner proclaiming: "Don't kid yourself, Mario. We would hate you even if you were white."

Actually isn't that more of an accusation that he is playing the race card without cause rather than the Juve fans being racist?

No blacks play for Italy or something like that, they chant at him all over Italy, so he hardly needs to 'play race card'. Or is this yet another 'pc gone overboard' post?

Of course, there's no such thing as racism (especially in Italian football), it's just all these lazy idiots bandying 'race cards' around.

I can't stand him, but he's class and still 19. I'd have him in a moment especially because Mancini brought him through the ranks at Inter so he will know how to get the best out of him, something Mourinho isn't doing constantly with all his critics to the lad.
As for the racism thing, he tends to wind up opposition fans with his attitude, and that's why he's insulted all over Italy. But from that to make racist chants about him there's a long way and I think those who do it are well out of line. So basically no, he's not playing the racism card but he's surely not contributing to it disappearing as he winds up the oppo fans.
