I think the main thing is he is 33, not really what we should be looking for, especially as he would probably need some time to adapt

Agree with this.
I don't see any reason why we have to purchase any players over 30.

I don't see any reason why we should sign central defender shorter than SWP.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Hmm... Although I don't see him as a star in england, i also can't see him being sold for much higher then 8 mil. If mancini wants him and trusts him why not? Like NQDP stated his height does worry me a little, but as Bellamy proved, no one knows a player like a former manager.

He's a fucking spring when he jumps tho. But basically I agree that we can do way better than him considering his age.

Yeah we do need to get for the future I mean Lescott is no spring chicken but we got a lot of lads coming through the academy with potential. I think we just need somebody to fill the gap till their ready. See if we get somebody really young you are taking away an opportunity for an academy lad to break through. Something the press have been hounding us for a while now as its something we are well known for (great academy I mean).

Well we need a stop gap untill Lescott and Nedum get fully fit so we are going to have to find somebody to play with Vince.
Cordoba is the kind of player who will put his head where other people wont and also pretty tight in possession. Mancini knows him and knows how to get the best from him.
He will do

Yeah I agree. Good reliable stopgap and will already be familiar as to what Mancini will demand of him.

I'd take him. If he realises he won't be our a definate starter here. I think he would be great player to fill the place of Toure/Lescott in January as he must already be familiar with Mancini's defensive system and is an experienced pro. Whether he (and Kompo) would keep his place after those two, plus Nedum are back would be up to them and how they perform together.

The fastest and most talented header of all centrebacks I actually watch! Mourinho doesn't like him, why don't we sign immediately?
From Torino, Italia to Manchester, Lancashire this City is always our City!

Do we not need more than a stop gap though? Are lescott and toure a top 4 CB pairing? Or are they too similar? I rate lescott as he is younger and was starting to show form. But Toure has been dodgy for ages and has been saved by the emergence of kompany. Then again, I suppose we could have vince and lescott as the CBs?
