Just another reason to like him. I have to admit I didn't rate him that much when we bought him but he's now one of my fav players in the whole game, because of his attitude, coupled with enough class to make him one of the best players a club could have, if only his knees weren't that fragile and he could play all games he'd be even more impressive, I'm sure of it. Long may he keep up the form he's been in for us so far.

Excellent read.
I have to admit that I'm suprised to hear that Hughes and Bellamy aren't closer than that to be honest. But it was just as I expected regarding the whole situation, he just went to thank 'the gaffer', not cause riot. Besides these players have seen it all many times before.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Super player. Glad to see the rumours of rebellion were untrue but i'm sure the idea will still persist in the minds of idiots who no doubt will still be refering to the 'incident' as fact in a few months time.

As with Given, I knew Bellers was a decent player before we signed him but I didn't realised just how good until I saw him play every week. The guy gives 100% which is all you can ask for from one of your players.

So lets recap, the "supposed" player revolt never happended, neither did the transfer request or wish to go to Spurs .... so that means, shock horror, the tabloids lied ... again.
Lets hope Bellers takes the ba**ards to the cleaners just to show they print s**t about City all the time to suit their agenda against us.
As for Bellers himself, what a refreshing and honest attitude. My hats off to him for his contribution at City and long may it continue.

fantastic article that gives you a real buzz about bellamy the person. I really wonder why any manager/team would ever want to get rid of him.

Interesting to hear about Hughes and his family being emotional.
Also think Bellers should be made welcome to stay at the club or come back once his playing days are over, in some sort of coaching/youth capacity.
youth team coach might be the way to go, because i think he can identify with the mentality of some of the up and coming cocky youngsters. He can bring them back down to earth and guide them a little.
Id love to see him as captain of the day lifting a cup. If we win the League Cup, it should be dedicated to Hughes.

I have never been as wrong about any human being as I was about Craig Bellamy, and really want to this guy lift a trophy for us. He should take the bastards in the media to cleaners, again.

Great read that. He has great respect within football and all the clubs he has been at. Excellent footballer , fantastic trainer and thoroughly decent bloke. No surprise about the Hughes comments but he was closer to eddie Niedznieki I think on a personal basis.

Great to hear direct quotes from the player himself.
On the downside though, not sure how happy I would be to take over as manager and be told "by the way, I'm unable to play three games in the same week." This limits the manager's options if other players are injured. As a long term solution it's not really viable for a top level club.
I must remember to get a new signature.....

"Predictable but not accurate" kel fookin suupriise!
Yet most of the arguments on this board in the last week or were based on the shit from the media!!
Perhaps it would be as best to have a new "rule" at top of Maine page saying "please refrain from using news articals that do not have direct quotes from club officials or players in them"

Agree Hampshire lad. That Bellers story was always bollox and it's a shame so many get taken in by it.
