I was at the game & he was exactly that. Whatever he may say, if we hadn't have changed, we would have lost the game.
Sad truth is following his injury at the Olympics, he never recovered his game, came back bulked up like a body builder & seemed to have lost his pace. He was never a natural, bit like Lescott, made it in the game with mainly physical attributes and when he lost them he was never going to get back his place on a regular basis. His only chance is to move out of the spotlight & try & rebuild his career.
Hope he does he deserves to, but can't understand the bitterness, after all, City gave him his chance & paid his wages for 2 largely unproductive years for us, earning probably more in that time than I have earned in my lifetime
